The next morning I woke up with an overwhelming sense of dread in me. I felt guilty for what had almost happened between me and Ethan the night before.

I just couldn't believe that I had wanted to kiss him. Ethan, the same person who almost raped me a year ago. The same person who had made me scared to ever have sex and installed trust issues in me.

I had wanted to kiss him and I still do.

Thankfully today is a free day so we didn't have any activities planned. I quickly got out of bed and threw on some jeans and a pair of black converse, not even bothering to change my pajama top. I rushed to brush my teeth and was out of the cabin in 5 minutes.

I spent the walk to Jesse's cabin planning what I was going to say to him.

I'm sorry for lying to you about dating Ethan?

That's a good start.

You can't be that mad at me when you hurt me too yesterday.

That will just start a confrontation.

I sighed as I reached the door. I might as well get this over with. I raised my hand and timidly knocked on the door. When noone immediately answered I knocked again, this time harder.

"Come in, damn it!" I heard a groggy voice shout from inside.

I opened the door and was suddenly hit with the smell of axe and cigarettes. I looked around the cabin and saw piles of clothes covering the floor and three bodies laying haphazardly on wooden bunk beds.

"Um hi," I started.

"Listen, I don't know who you are, and I don't really care. Just get what you need and let me get back to sleep." A black haired boy with snake bite piercings snapped at me.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you but I'm looking for Jesse Peirce." I told him after checking the sleeping bodies and finding Jesse's bed empty.

"He's not here, he never came home last night. He's probably banging his girlfriend in her cabin." The same boy from earlier answered me.
I felt a blush come over my face and swiftly headed for the door.

"Thanks, and sorry again for wa-"

"Yeah, yeah, just get out." The boy cut me off and collapsed back onto the bed.

As I left the cabin I figured that if Jesse wasn't here then he was probably in cabin 13. I checked there next and sure enough, I found Jesse knocked out on the bed. He was shirtless and sleeping on his back, a scowl etched onto his face.

"Jesse." I called meekly.

"Syyydnneey." Jesse moaned in his sleep.

Once again I felt my cheeks redden and called his name again.

"Jesse!"

Finally Jesse raised his head and creaked open his eyes.

"What are you doing here?" He rasped, sitting up. "Shouldn't you be with Ethan?"

I groaned. "I'm sorry for not telling you that I dated him but I thought it wasn't important."

"Wasn't important!" Jesse snapped, fully awake now. "You had me looking like a fool in front of everybody as he mocked me. I deserved to know the truth Sydney."

"I know that, what I did was stupid and I paid for that." I said.

"You paid for that, how?" Jesse wondered.

"You mean you don't remember what you did to me yesterday?" I asked.

Jesse shook his head.

"You mean you don't remember how you knocked me down and had me lose consciousness on the side walk. " I reminded him.

"Shit." Jesse's face blanched.

"I-I didn't know." Jesse stuttered. "I'm sorry I was just so mad."

Soon he was on his feet and enveloping me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry baby." Jesse breathed into my hair. "You know I would never hurt you, right?"

"Right." I muttered into his chest.

Jesse let me go. "We obviously have problems, but I don't want us to end. Not like this."

"Not at all." I corrected. "I don't want us to end at all."

You weren't saying that as you leaned in to kiss Ethan. My sub consciousness reminded me.

What a bitch

"Neither do I. I think I might be in love with you Sydney." Jesse admitted.

I felt like all time had stopped. I stood there completely still and just looked into Jesse's eyes. He stood there smiling nervously, running his hands up and down my arms.

Do I love Jesse?

I think I do, or least I could love him. But if I had such strong feelings for Jesse then why did I want to kiss Ethan yesterday? Ethan wasn't good for me...but then again, neither was Jesse. Ethan may have tried to rape me but Jesse had proved yesterday that he could hurt me.

But I trust Jesse more.

Realizing that I decided to something that I knew would make me forget about Ethan. I was ready.

"I love you Jesse." I whispered.

A wide smile broke out against Jesse's lips and he swiftly brought me in for a kiss. When it started to get heated and I felt Jesse's tongue slide into my mouth, I welcomed it and kissed him back with equal enthusiasm. I brought my arms around his neck as Jesse hoisted me up so that I could wrap my legs around his waist.

"Wait." Jesse stopped me, breathing heavily. "We should stop before I can't hold myself back."

"What If I don't want you to stop?" I challenged.

Jesse paused and evaluated my face. "Are you serious."

"Dead serious." I licked my lips.

Wordlessly Jesse resumed where we left off and backed me up to the bed.

And for the rest of the day Jesse made me forget all about Ethan Thomas.

.....

Later that night I woke up with a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist. I opened my eyes and saw Jesse still sleeping soundly. His hair was disheveled and he was shirtless, a peaceful look was on his face. I tried to sit up and immediately felt Jesse's grip get tighter.

"Jesse let me go." I giggled.

"Nooo." Jesse complained.

"Seriously, we have to get up and get back to our cabins before they start searching for us." I reminded him.

Jesse groaned and reluctantly released his hold on me.

I got up and quickly threw back on my clothes.

"I'll go back first so that it doesn't look suspicious." I told him.

"Alright, I'll see you later Syd." Jesse replied. "I love you."

I smiled at him. "I love you too J.P."

"New nickname?" Jesse asked.

"Yup."

"I like it." He smirked.

"Bye." I said over my shoulder and walked out of the cabin. I shut the door behind me and had barely made it two steps before a figure stepped out of the dense trees. It was girl dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a black hoodie. Even though her hair was hidden I could see strands of light blonde hairs framing her face. Her icy blue eyes were noticeable even in the dark.

"Alyssa!" I gasped.
