"Ugh, baby, are you awake?" I heard Tinka's small voice beside me.
"Yes, my love, what's wrong?" I said, pulling her body in closer to me. I was still half-asleep, my eyes shut tight, but of course, she couldn't see me.
"I can't sleep. My stomach is already getting so big; it's so uncomfortable," she whined. I could tell she had a pout on her face, and it made me sad.
"Does your stomach hurt, or is it just uncomfortable?" I asked, curious about how I could make her feel better.
"It's aching, and on top of that, I feel like I could vomit at any time. My back hurts so bad," she explained, her voice cracking.
I could feel the hot tears streaming from her face to my neck, and it made my heart ache. I wiped the tears from her face, kissing all over it before pecking her lips softly.
"We can schedule you a doctor's appointment sometime this week to see if that's normal. You're so early in the pregnancy; I don't know if that's normal yet," I told her gently.
"Do you want me to rub your stomach, baby?" I questioned, hoping it would bring her some comfort.
"Yes, please," she exclaimed, her excitement momentarily lifting the dull feeling in the air. I chuckled a little at how quickly her mood could shift.
With that, I started rubbing her small but round belly, feeling the slight hardness beneath my palm. I heard her let out a small sigh of relief as I rubbed her stomach in circles.
"It's nice," she murmured, her voice softening.

After Tinka told me about how she was up sick all night/morning. I was relieved that she was feeling a little better this morning. Ari decided it was time to get Tinka checked out, so she called the doctor's office first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment for today.
