I lay cuddled up with Rip in our bed while Cal was asleep in his room.
"He was my son's father and if Kayce thinks for one fuckign second I'd not find or get something for closer and me beating it out of Kayce finally got him to talk well I'd do it all over again so I'd know that Lee is at peace and that hopefully when Cal gets older he'll know he's father didn't die in vain but a hero" I say
" Cal knows Lee is a hero, and he knows that now that Lee isn't with him anymore & he's got a great guardian Angel." Rip says
I lifted my head looking at him and smiled before pecking his lips.
"thank you for so much" I say
he hummed before pulling me closer than what I was before.
"think John will put Lee's ashes with Evelyn's body?" I asked
"Yea so he'll have a great resting place and if ever they try to dig where he was buried then they'll not find him" he says
" I'll just take him to Evelny's grave from now on and explain it to him why we arent at his dad's original resting place. " I say
" just say that his grandpa felt that it was more suiting for Lee to be with his mom once again." I say
"yeah. I can do that" I say
We went to sleep after talking a bit more.
The next couple days things seemed to be busy for everyone.
I was glad Cal was off at school and I wasn't having to worry about him getting hurt or anything if that damn bear was to make its appearance again.
Rip and a few others where ordered to scare the bear off so it not kill any of John's cattle.
So while they were off doing that I was doing my job. which is handling the ordering of new equipment if needed, buying/purchasing fencing and other things that fall in that category and some other ranch things as well as John's house.
