When the guys went out to camp with the cattle I asked John to take Cal with him so he could not only learn what his father had, but to help him feel somewhat at peace and relaxed. since he has night terrors which isn't anything abnormal experiencing what he had.
While they where gone I was rocking Koa's carseat while talking with Beth.
"you always have to try make everything about you don't you Cora?"
I rolled my eyes and stood up before looking at Monica.
"what in the blue hell are you talking about?" I asked
"Askign John to take Calvin out with him" she says
"his name is Cal. which is short for Caloway... God you're a teacher and you cant even keep up with names" I say
"actually I'm a professor and I only care about important people not ranch hands bastards" she says
I lunged at her and beat the fucking shit outta her. when Tate tried to lay hands Beth pulled him off and walked off inside where Jamie was before coming back right when Rip walked up and pulled me off.
"what the fuck is going on?" he asked
"that little fuck face called Cal a bastard" I say
"I called him a ranch hand bastard" she says
I pushed outta RIps hold and punched her so fuckign hard in the face you could hear her jaw shatter.
"He's a Dutton you stupid piece of shit. and Lee was a Live stock agent. something Kayce couldn't do if his fucking life depended on it like running this ranch." I say before I walked over picked up Koa's Carseat and walked off with Rip.
"Kayce's gonna be pissed" he says
"he wants to throw hands I'll beat the fuck outta him again" I warn
"he tries to hurt you or hit you I'll beat his ass and this time I wont throw the fight outta respect for John" Rip says
I looked at him and smiled before loading Koa up in my car an climbed in with RIp since had already got his horse settled into the barn for the night.
Now here we lay curled up I am mindlessly playing with his chest hair.
"You know how I said I'd want more kids with you?" he asked
"yeah" I replied
"I don't know if I could go through watching you be in long hours of pain" he says
"they are worth it though" I say
"I know but Koa is the second child I witnessed you being in long hours of pain and it damn near killed me" he says
"I understand that. but you being in that hospital bed with me and coaching me as well as holding me helped so much. it would had been hell had I had to do it alone" I say
"never will you go thorough our kids' birth alone if I can help it" he says
"we both deserve a loving family that's not the Duttons with the exception of Cal since he's Lee's son. We had exerpicned hell in our lives and us having a family is a reward or an honor badge of short." I say
"that's true" he says
"so why don't you show me how you ride cowboy?" I asked
He smirked and rolled over on top of me and started kissing me before he proceeded to to just that till Koa woke and started crying.
"rain check till he goes back to sleep momma" He says getting up to go check on our boy.
"Cant wait daddy" I say
He looks back and me and smirks before he walked ot of the room.
I turn and lay on my side watching him in the camera we have for the baby monitor in Koa's room and my heart soars with love and I fall head over heels in love with him all over again.
