*Rachel's POV*

"I can't reach the... Stupid... Card..." I forced my tippy toes all the way onto their ends and flung my arms to maybe at least knock one off.
Everyone else, besides Austin who insisted I go before him, had already taken their turns to move forward.
"Gosh dar-"
Austin tightly wrapped his arms around my waist and gently lifted me high enough to reach the top card which had the word "Dare" written on top of it.
Austin set me down and gave a questioning tone to his voice, "Hmm? I don't remember this being in the game..."
"Yeah..." I gulped and flipped the card around to see what it read.
"Go to the person who went before you and toss them into the pits of mud, then steal their place. Failure to do so will result in- death," I read aloud.
Who went before me... MICHAEL!
No I can't do this to him... Not after what we've been through...
"I can't... I wo-"
Austin placed his hand on my mouth to shut me up.
Didn't he learn from my sister not to do that?
Before I could lick his tattooed hand, he bent down to whisper some advice into my ear, "Rachel... I... I don't want you to die! Not now..."
My cheeks immediately heated up and I was forced to burry my face in the palms of my hands.
Well, if you say so future husband- I mean Austin.
I nodded my head in agreement, "Okay."
I sorrowfully looked over at Michael and felt my heart drop as he cheerfully waved and yelled for me to hurry up so I could stand next to him.
He didn't know that I would be TAKING his place.
Someone save my heart please...
I took my first step forward and felt my heart fall into my stomach.
Rachel, why do you feel this way?
"Michael?" I finally reached my destination after a gut wrenching walk, "Please, don't hate me after this..."
He smiled and put his large hand on the back of my neck to pull me in closer, "Honestly, I don't think I can hate you..."
I turned my gaze back over to Austin who was awkwardly looking directly and Michael and me.
"Please, you have to understand that my life is on the line here... And-"
Michael cut me off with a passionate kiss.
It felt like an episode of Silent Library.
It should have been quiet, but it was loud. I didn't know if I should stay serious, or get a little laugh out of it.
I better be getting money after this too...
Finally, I managed to pull away.
"Do it..." He whispered.
I felt tears in my eyes. It's only one stupid pile of mud what is my problem?
"I... I'm sorry..." I sucked in my emotions and forced Michael out of his spot with my palms that caused him to fall face first into the mucky, oily, liquid.
Or is it a solid?
Who cares?
I watched as Michael turned his head towards me.
"Rachel..." He spoke softly, "Th... T... THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" Michael began to squirm around in the mud while splashing it towards me.
"Get in you turd! It's warm in here!"
I obliged to say no.
"Umm... Austin?" I began to shout and noticed he was already counting the squares with one of the cards in his hand.
"Aw man, looks like we're right next to each other!" Austin offered me a high five.
"Guys..." Michael took a big gasp, "This is fricking chocolate."
"Did you eat it?" I questioned and began to laugh along with him.
Michael nodded, "It was an accident, it just... Landed in my mouth!"
"That's gross..." I shook my head, "Now get your tiny little booty back to start."
"Yes, ma'am!" Michael cheered and ran all the way back to where we all began.
"What's the hold up?" Payton yelled as she looked up from her conversation with Elliott, "And why is Michael back there? Did he trade you spots? AWWW I KNEW HE LOVED YOU YESSS!"
I grumbled and covered my blushing cheeks with my hands, "It's not like that, Payton..."
"It's my turn again! Woooo!" Alan screeched as the deck of cards began floating over to his spot, "Truth?" He questioned as he yanked a piece of paper from the top of the pile.
Austin looked at me with a stern concerned look on his face, "Something's not right here..."
