Luna absentmindedly spreads some cream cheese on a bagel followed by some thin slices of smoked salmon courtesy of their host, who apparently also owns a restaurant on the resort located not too far away. He's a sweet, old man who to their relief, doesn't have the slightest idea who they are. He seemed a bit concerned with her being the only woman there, but she assured him that her husband was present, grabbing Joon, who was closest and wrapping her arm in his. This seemed to put his mind at ease though they were fighting laughs the whole time.
They made it to the cabin last night and the pictures didn't do it any justice to say the least. Seeing it in the distance as they drove up the mountain made it seem much more enchanting and lively. It was the perfect mix of modern and rustic, half of it built into the mountainside, two floors of floor to ceiling windows facing out, making it shine brightly in the night. Inside, the vibe is spot on. The lighting is on the dimmer side, but can be changed to brighter settings of course. There's 5 bedrooms and each one has a beautiful view of the mountains and trees covered in freshly fallen snow. They'd come early in the season, but it had snowed the day before and would snow again tonight according to the weather report.
There's a small in home gym, spa room, library, and a side deck with a convenient little fire pit outside. Otherwise, it is up quite high and very remote—and the windows are tinted in a way that allows them to see our but doesn't allow people to see inside— perfect for privacy.
She hums as she bites into her pre-workout snack. She's leaning against the counter with her eyes closed, savoring it. Though the ate dinner last night before bed, a hearty Scottish soup that put her right to sleep—unfortunately, she woke up in the middle of the night sick. Having to carefully untangle herself from Joon and make sure he didn't wake, she just barely made it to the downstairs bathroom. If she keeps getting sick like this, she fears someone will notice and she'll have to spill the beans before the last day. She really hope that doesn't happen.
The sound of footsteps on the stairs makes her frown, looking over in surprise we JK makes his way down the stairs, his arms stretched over his head as he yawns.
"I thought you were gone with the others," she says, placing the bagel down on the plate and grabbing a napkin to wipe the corners of her mouth.
The others had decided to go grocery shopping this morning ahead of the snowfall they'd be getting tonight. She opted to stay in bed, unable to leave the cozy cocoon of the comforter, but couldn't fall back asleep after they left.
"Nah, I figured you could use a workout partner," he winks, kissing her on the cheek and giving her shoulder a squeeze as he passes her on the way to the fridge.
She'd written out the schedule she planned on following this week and knew she'd be up by 10am at the latest so she'd have time to eat before working out by 11.
"You didn't have to stay back. I know how much you love a grocery store," she says with a slight pout.
It was often one the best parts of a trip in a different country for him, getting to explore worry free as well as discovering new snacks.
"Eh, we'll be here for a week, possibly longer. I'll go another time," he says as he scoops some pre-workout into a shaker bottle.
"Want some?" he asks and she hesitates before shakes her head. She can't remember off the top of her head what ingredients are in the one he uses, but she's pretty sure it probably not safe for pregnancy.
"I've been headache free for a few days now. I don't want to chance it," she adds and he nods in understanding.
"So the meds have been helping?" he asks and she nods, waiting until she'd swallowed another bite of her bagel before she replied.
