With everything that was going on, Jeevika couldn’t help but feel the weight of the secrets pressing down on her. Her investigation into her stepmother’s past was consuming her, and the stress was beginning to show. No matter how much she tried to hide it, Abhiman wasn’t a fool. He could see the tension in her eyes, the way she was constantly lost in thought, and how she barely smiled like she used to.Abhiman knew that if he directly asked Jeevika what was bothering her, she would deflect and avoid the conversation. So, he decided to do something to take her mind off things. He wanted to see the smile that used to light up his world. And so, he planned a surprise for her—a romantic evening, just the two of them, away from all the stress.
---
That evening, Jeevika returned to their room, tired from the day’s events. But as she entered, she saw Abhiman waiting for her, a soft smile playing on his lips. The room was dimly lit, with candles glowing softly on the table set for two.
“Yeh sab kya hai?” she asked, her eyes widening in surprise.
Abhiman walked over to her, gently taking her hand. “Tumhe itni tension mein dekh raha hoon kaafi dino se, Jeevika. Socha tumhare liye kuch special plan karoon. We need a break.”
She looked at him, her heart warming at the thoughtfulness. “Abhi... yeh sab... kyun?”
He chuckled, leading her to the table. “Kyunki tumhari smile ab dikhayi nahi deti. I miss it, jaan. Tumhara muskuraana sabse zaroori hai.”
She felt her eyes sting with unshed tears. She didn’t realize how much she had been burdening herself, and seeing Abhiman go out of his way to make her happy only made her realize how lucky she was to have him by her side. “Tum itna sab kyun karte ho mere liye?” she asked softly.
Abhiman pulled out a chair for her. “Kyunki tum meri ho. Aur tumhari khushi hi meri khushi hai.” He sat down opposite her, pouring her a glass of juice. “Ab dinner enjoy karo. Baat baad mein karenge.”
---
The candlelight flickered between them as they ate, the silence filled with the sound of soft music playing in the background. Jeevika couldn’t help but feel a little more relaxed, the weight on her chest lightening just a bit.
After dinner, Abhiman stood up and offered her his hand. “Shall we dance?”
She smiled shyly, taking his hand. “Tumhe pata hai, tumhare saath dance karte hue kabhi thakawat mehsoos nahi hoti.”
He grinned as he pulled her into his arms, his hands resting on her waist. “Toh hum roz dance kar sakte hain, jab tum chaho.”
They swayed slowly to the music, their bodies close, moving in sync. Abhiman held her gently but protectively, his forehead resting against hers as they moved to the rhythm. For a moment, Jeevika forgot about everything—the secrets, the stress, the lies. All that mattered was this, being with him.
As the song played softly in the background, Abhiman whispered, “Mujhe pata hai tumhe kuch pareshaan kar raha hai, Jeevika. Lekin main wait karunga jab tak tum mujhe batane ke liye ready ho jao. Main sirf itna chahta hoon ke tum khush raho.”
Jeevika closed her eyes, feeling the comfort of his words. She didn’t need to carry everything alone. She had Abhiman by her side. “Main tumhe sab kuch bataungi, Abhi. Lekin abhi nahi. Bas thoda waqt do mujhe.”
He nodded, kissing her forehead. “Main intezaar karunga, jitna bhi waqt lage.”
Their lips met in a gentle kiss, a kiss filled with love and understanding. They shared a quiet moment of intimacy, their bodies moving closer, the warmth of their connection palpable.
---
Later that night, after the romantic evening had drawn to a close, they lay in each other’s arms, the tension between them finally easing. For the first time in days, Jeevika felt at peace.
As she rested her head on Abhiman’s chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart, she whispered, “Thank you, Abhi. For everything.”
Abhiman smiled, stroking her hair gently. “Tumhari khushi ke liye kuch bhi.”
And with that, Jeevika let herself relax completely, knowing that no matter what happened, as long as she had Abhiman, everything would eventually be okay.
