🍃👟MY TRACK DAYS👟🍃
The morning sun bathed the school building in a golden light as different students walked across the field and through the schoolyard. Kevin, Camilla, and Murad stood outside the club room, each lost in their own world.
Murad sat cross-legged on the ground, engrossed in the novel in his hands. His black eyes were squinted in focus as he silently read the content of the story. Camilla leaned against the wall, humming softly to herself while calmly inspecting her nails, her expression calm.
Kevin, however, was anything but calm. He stood in front of the club room door, his face twisted with irritation and frustration. His feet stomped against the ground rentlessly, while his hands stayed buried in the pockets of his hoodie. He paced back and front, unable to content his energy.
"Chill, Kevin," Camilla said, her brown eyes scanning his movements calmly.
"Marissa is supposed to be here right now," Kevin stated, irritated.
"She could be busy," Murad spoke up in a low and quiet voice, his eyes leaving the book. "It's still school hour after all."
Before Kevin could respond, the three of them noticed Marissa sprinting toward them, her bag bouncing on her shoulder, her expression filled with urgency. Kevin stopped in his tracks, the others straightening as she approached.
"I'm sorry," Marissa said, her voice exhausted, as she bent down panting heavily. "Community service."
"Why do you have community service?" Camilla asked, her voice a mix of amusement and concern.
"She was late for school," Kevin stated blankly, "just like she's late now." Marissa's eyes twitched with embarrassment as Kevin revealed her tendency to oversleep.
"Well, let's get into it," Marissa said as she passed through them to open the door to the classroom.

The moment she swung the door open, Marissa gasped in shock Her eyes scanned the room in amazement. At the front, the standard desk and chairs were still arranged in typical classroom fashion, with a whiteboard on the wall, neatly displaying the message: "Welcome to the Gardening Club."
But what truly caught her attention was the back of the room. Bean bags in various shades of green and white were scattered across the floor alongside fluffy chairs and soft, vibrant carpets. Lush plants in decorative vases were placed neatly on shelves and corners, and strings of fairy lights twinkled from the walls, casting a soft glow over the room. Potted plants hung from the ceiling, while posters about gardening lined the walls, giving the entire space a cosy, vibrant feel.
"Wow," Marissa exclaimed eagerly as she entered the room.
"Welcome to the Gardening Club," Camilla said, walking in with the others. She winked at Marissa with a smile.
"Aww, you listened to my suggestions!" Marissa said, beaming.
Camilla nodded, picking up a marker as she headed to the whiteboard. "We have a lot to do."
Marissa nodded frantically and sat down in the front row, with Murad and Kevin taking the seats beside her.
"I have an idea to make our club more lively," Camilla began with a grin, walking to the back of the room and picking up a white bag from the floor. She brought it to the front and pulled out a head of lettuce.
"We're hosting a competition," she announced.
Marissa furrowed her brows at the lettuce. "With lettuce?"
