Chapter 40:

Sir Mao smiled while telling her as he looked down and remembered their memories before they parted to each other. Davina didn't think that she would see him as so loving brother as she remembered her big brother in her previous world which made her miss him all of a sudden since her brother was also spoiling her when he had a chance.

"...you can tell me what day is his day off then we can go out so you can meet with him,"

Davina said that she also thought that she could go alone since she couldn't go with them and ruined their bonding which was a win-win for her. Sir Mao looked at her wondering but he was happy about her statement and set aside the possibility that she was planning something.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes,"

"Then, can we go out the day after tomorrow? It's was his off and he goes to the same place where we could meet if I ever go out on his offs,"

"Alright,"

"You are so willing. Are you planning something?"

"Why? Do you not want to meet your brother?"

"It's not that but if you are planning then I will stop you,"

"I don't. What do you think of me? I know you went something while being with me but I keep my word,"

Sir Mao looked at her seriously and sighed before he believed her since so far she hadn't broken any word that she said to him.

"Fine, I believe you. No takebacks then,"

"Of course,"

"Sir Mao, this is not what we talked about yesterday. I didn't want to be with you since I want to be alone,"

"No, you told me that you will allow me to see my brother and you are not allowed to go on your own,"

"...then, let's go back. I don't want it anymore since he is still not here,"

"...ugh, fine but make sure to come back at 3 pm here where the carriage was waiting,"

"Yes! Then, I have to go and enjoy your day with your brother!"

Davina immediately left Sir Mao at the bookstore where was their meeting place and didn't expect to see Lev in the front door when she was about to get outside.

"Hm, you are my brother's friend, Davin,"

"Ah, yes. Sir Mao is waiting for you inside. I have to go so enjoy your day with your brother,"

She immediately left him and didn't wait for his response as he just looked at her back going away until she was gone before he entered the bookstore.

"I should enjoy looking around without anyone with me,"

She uttered when she made sure that she was far from the bookstore where she left Sir Mao when she saw Allyssa walking not too far from her kaya naman agad niya itong nilapitan.

"Allyssa!"

Allyssa turned around to see who was calling her and it was a familiar voice but a little different from Davina's voice because of the potion she took that slightly changed her voice.

"Ahm, do I know you?"

Allyssa was not sure while looking at Davina since she had different hair and eye color and dressed up like a knight but she could tell that there was some look-a-like with her but still asked the man in front of her.
