The brother's home was a nice little cabin. Cairo could tell that one or both of them were either big into Christmas, with the lights strung about the gutters, or two lazy to take them down. Having met Papyrus, he was leaning more towards the former. The younger skeleton seemed to have energy for days. Sans pushed the door open, letting them both into the living room space. Papyrus could be seen in the kitchen expertly cooking something in big pots... something that had Cairo rather excited for dinner. Sans sauntered over to a green couch as he called out to his bro, "i'm home, paps! and i brought our guest." Papyrus instantly peeked in from the kitchen, gasping delightedly. "Welcome, Fellow Skeleton Friend! Make Yourself Comfortable While The Great Papyrus Finishes Dinner!" Cairo nodded simply as he removed his coat. "Thank you for inviting me, Papyrus." Sans magic sparked, and Cairo's coat disappeared. "it's hanging in the closet if you need it, bud." Cairo tried to thank Sans but was cut off by a shriek. "SANS, YOU LAZYBONES!!! YOU COULDN’T HAVE STOOD UP TO HANG THE COAT PROPERLY?!" Sans grinned and held his hands up in surrender.

As Cairo joined Sans on the couch, the older skeleton looked to him with a hum. "so what didja do to survive on the surface? you said you refurbished things to survive?" Sans asked curiously. "Yeah - I was a trader for a good, long time before the modern era. Because of my, uh, circumstances... I can create an illusion to make myself look human. It made things easier. Then, I was a craftsman for hire when the trade business was less. Then I was a traveling salesman... then that work died, too, due to the rise of technology. And now here I am, back into refurbishing and selling." Sans blinked, his curiosity growing. "you have illusion magic? that's such a rare type of magic - i thought illusionist were killed off -" Cairo shrugged cluelessly. "I don't know, man, I just know it's kept me alive. Can't find a monster if you can't see one." Sans nodded along. "still, i'm curious as to what else you can do. Illusion magic, yellow magic, bones... blasters?" He asked. "Um, yeah. I can... I do have blasters, but I don't use them very often..." Sans supposed... Cairo didn't actually seem all the confrontational.

"SO ARE YOU LIKE OUR LONG LOST BROTHER OR SOMETHING?" Sans made a startled sound while Cairo tried to think of a response. He just... had no idea. Was he? He and Sans hadn't exactly talked about how they knew Gaster. And he was kinda Gaster's dying firstborn son. Sans seemed to save face, though, smiling at his brother as Papyrus handed out plates of spaghetti. Cairo blinked at it as he listened. "heh, yeah, bro. turns out cairo is our big bro. big bro was hurt, so dad had to leave him to keep the humans away from him while he healed. but-" Before Sans could finish, Papyrus scooped the slightly shorter Cairo into a hug. "I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW YOU SEEMED FAMILIAR!!! IT IS NICE TO MEET YOU, BIG BROTHER!!!" Cairo was still trying to process, but patted Papyrus back as he looked at Sans with a surprised expression. They... were also sons of Gaster? He... had a family? Was that why he needed to know them? Meet them? Had Cairo's soul known? "later." Sans signed, knowing that Cairo had questions. "i'm sure our big bro would love to taste you cooking, paps." Papyrus, let go quickly. "OH YES, OF COURSE! ENJOY... BROTHER."
