❤️^^^^^ BABY ^^^^^❤️

Today was my last test of stage 2. Four days had passed and I hadn't seen Eric or Jack. I had been buried alive, set on fire, I killed Charlie again and Peter came back from the dead to haunt me. Four and I never really spoke. He spoke to me when he had to, just to save arguments.

Four pushed the needle into my neck, quite forcefully, like Eric had done the first time. I winced as I closed my eyes.

When I opened them, I was kneeling on the ground. The four leaders surrounding me. Max was behind me, Alex was to my left, Candy was to my right and Eric was in front of me.

Eric loaded the gun. I was about to be executed, Dauntless style. I began to panic. I'd heard about this very rare procedure.

"There is one bullet in this gun," Max explained. Eric passed the gun to Candy who pointed it at my head.

"You should have told us." She stated.

Click.

I jumped at the sound, my breathing becoming ragged as I began to sweat. Oh god. This is it. The gun was passed to Max, who didn't say anything. He just pulled the trigger.

Click.

I let out a shaky breath as I closed my eyes. Now Alex had the gun.

"For Jack, Charlie and Peter." He stated before he pulled the trigger.

Click.

I looked up at Eric as he pointed it at my head. He was shaking. I could see his hand shaking. His eyes never left mine as he held the gun there, his finger resting over the trigger.

What about us?

What about everything we've been through?

Do I mean nothing to him?

I smiled slightly.

"It's okay," I breathed, he shook his head slightly as I nodded. "It should be you."

I took a deep breath, calming down.

"It's okay, Eric." I told him, he closed his eyes as he pulled the trigger.

Bang.

I say up abruptly, my eyes scanning the room.

"Fear of death." I whispered but Four laughed slightly.

"I saw the fear of being killed by the one you love." He stated. "7 minutes."

I nodded as I got up from the chair. 7 fucking minutes of hell.

I left the room, ignoring everyone and everything. I felt numb.

Would that really be my fate?

As I walked into the pit, I cringed. Eric was here. Had he been avoiding me? I'm about to find out. He was making his way over.

"It's Candy." He stated. My heart stopped.

"What about her?" I asked, my breath hitching in my throat.

"I'll let you see for yourself." He answered making me shiver. He escorted me to the infirmary. She was lying in a bed. She looked weak. Her red hair had faded, her skin was pale. She seemed to have shrunk.

"W-what's wrong with her?" I asked, "where's Belle?"

"She's been ill for a while." Eric informed me.
