Song for this chapter // Robin Schulz feat. Jasmine Thompson- Sun Goes Down.

On the rest of my travels I found a shop. Well, actually, I found a perfect dress. It was tight, black, backless and a halter neck. So both my new piercing and tattoo would be shown when I ventured into the pit. I strolled in, the loud sound of music filling my ears, I wanted to dance but I decided on a drink first. I walked up to the bar, ignoring the stares I was receiving. Was it too much? Nah. I was confident, I was bold, I was dauntless. Of course it wasn't too much. I ordered a beer and waited for it to come. Meanwhile I turned around and scanned the large crowd. People were dancing and drinking all around, some playing drinking games and others just standing around talking. I felt a small push on my back and I turned slightly, meeting Peter.

"I have a question," he said and I rolled my eyes.

"One too many." I grumbled before my eyes met his again, "right shoot."

"You can't be dauntless born." He stated and I raised my eyebrows.

"That is not a question, Peter." I pointed out.

"You can't be dauntless born because the dauntless born are being trained separately from transfers, so my question is," he paused getting a little close and personal. "What faction are you from?"

"Does it matter?" I asked, stepping back into my comfort zone, away from this silly little boy.

"Yes!" Peter hissed, he grabbed my wrist tightly and narrowed his eyes. "I will find out what you're hiding and where you're from Sam."

"Good luck, kid." I answered, staring at him, not worried about his little threat. He let go of my wrist and stormed off making me sigh as I turned around. My drink was there waiting for me. I took it into my hands and went to take a sip when someone took it from my hands. I looked to my side, having to tilt my head to look at the persons face.

Eric. Of course.

"Why did you take my drink?" I asked, confused. His hard facial expression didn't change as he stared down at me.

"Initiates aren't allowed to drink." He said, sounding amused. My mouth dropped open.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked and I watched a slight smile appear on Eric's face.

"I'm more than happy that I'm not joking. I'm going to drink your drink and you're going to head back to your accommodation and stay there until you are told you can come out in the morning." He explained, making me raise an eyebrow.

"Okay. Have it your way. Enjoy the drink." I stated before I walked off. I saw Eric's smile fade before I turned around and I didn't care. Maybe it's about time I make some friends here. On my way out I bumped into a lady, she turned around, her hair was styled perfectly, it was like a bob, only a bit longer. Oh, and bright pink. Piercings added to her already intimidating stare.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologised, hoping that she wouldn't get all aggressive like all the other people here, including myself. I was surprised when she smiled and held out her hand.

"I'm Candy, nice to meet you," she paused, waiting for me to fill in my name.

"Sam," I told her as I shook her hand. Maybe I was wrong, there were some nice people here.

"Why don't you join us?" She asked as she gestured to the table behind her, with people sat all around it, laughing, drinking and genuinely having a good time. I nodded reluctantly. Eric had told me to go back to the initiate accommodation, for some reason I felt nervous, what if he caught me? I saw what he'd done to Christina today. I didn't want that to be me.
