I woke up to the sound of banging. It was still dark inside the room, so I wondered what the fuck was going on. Eric removed me from his chest casually and slipped out of bed. Before he turned around and shooed me out.

"Hide behind the sofa." He ordered making me run for it, naked. Who is it and what do they want? I heard the door open.

"Eric," Max greeted, "May I come in?"

"Of course." He answered, he sounded sleepy.

"I have been informed that you may be having a sexual relationship with an initiate, is this correct?" He asked, I heard Eric scoff.

"That's the first I've heard of it, and what initiate would that be?" He asked. He played well, he sounded believable.

"That's what I thought." Max answered. "Sam."

I almost answered at the mention of my name, but I shoved a hand over my mouth to stop me. Eric let out a laugh, now I could tell that was fake.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I heard his voice, he was angry. "Who has been saying something like that?"

"Fuck," I cursed under my breath so only I could hear it. I'd left my clothes on the floor. I hope Max doesn't go round the other side of the bed.

"A scrawny kid called,"

"Jack." Eric finished. "It's not true."

"I'm sorry Eric, I want to believe you, but we have to look into it." Max answered.

"For fuck sake!" He shouted just before I heard a loud thump. What that was I don't know. But as I heard the door close I popped my head up slightly so I could see if Max had gone. Which he had. I stood up, walking around the sofa and over to the bed to get dressed. After I was dressed I headed over to Eric who was shaking with anger. I looked to the left of him as he faced me, his bookcase had been hit. And hard. I gasped as I realised, reaching out for his hand. I held it in mine gently, running my thumb over his sore and already bruised knuckles before he snatched it away roughly.

"Haven't you done enough?" He asked aggressively. His voice hushed just in case Max was still lurking close.

"Excuse me?" I asked as I stepped back. He poked me in the shoulder as hard as he could.

"None of this would have happened if it wasn't for you." He accused. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What have I done?" I asked, not willing to take the blame.

"You're here!" He answered making me take a step back. I looked at the ground for a moment. Ouch.

"Well Eric, I'm sorry for breathing." I stated coldly, feeling hurt. I walked around him.

"No, Sam, I didn't mean that, Sam I'm sorry-" I cut him off by leaving his apartment. What he said angered me, and I needed time to think.

And Jack? He told on Eric and I? How did he even know it was forbidden? Was he not grateful that I practically saved his life? Eric would have not hesitated to throw him into the chasm.

I think he is underestimating us dauntless. How do I find him? I need to speak to him. I need to tell him to back off or I'll kill him myself. A party was still going on in the pit, obviously it wasn't too late. I thought I'd walk through seeing as I'd been woken up, all the drama has knocked the tiredness right out of me. I passed Four, Tris and Christina. And Four seemed to follow me. I knew what he was doing so I turned around and faced him.

"What?" I asked. Making him scowl. He got in my face. He got so close that when he spoke his breath was fanning my face.

"If you ever touch Tris again, I'll-"
