23. Verkwan 🤍

It's been a week or so,

Wonwoo's treatment was slow but fruitful, he was doing much better but still not able to stand on his own so every morning, Mingyu would pick him up and take charge of taking care of everything Wonwoo needed.

Jeonghan passed by to visit him the other day and the two were inseparable ever since. Vernon and Seungkwan slowly came out of their room and properly introduced themselves to Wonwoo and the others.

It was around 11am, Wonwoo was sitting by the window ... on a wheelchair, and Gosh how Mingyu hated that thing.
He was wearing a warm white and blue cardigan with jeans and a white converse shoes, a small blanket over his knees as he sipped on some hot tea with Jeonghan. The sunlight from outside hit his flawless milky skin making him look so angelic. Mingyu took a deep breath, he knew that this moment was coming, both of them did.

Seungcheol stood behind him, his attention falling on nothing but his Fiancé wearing their promise ring so beautifully as the pretty diamonds glittered with the sunlight.

Mingyu stepped closer and Jeonghan stood up walking towards Seungcheol.

The Alpha kneeled down on one knee to meet his Omega, Wonwoo greeting him with a smile.

"Hey"
Mingyu reached out to hold Wonwoo's hands, a little cold he thought "If you're feeling cold you should stay inside"

Wonwoo chuckled "I am inside"

"No, like under a blanket and by the fireplace"

"I'm fine" Wonwoo said and eyed Mingyu one more time "What's wrong?"

"Nothing much I just have to go for a while"

Wonwoo frowned "Is it happening?"

Mingyu nodded "Yes, I'll be back soon but you'll be okay right?"

Wonwoo nodded "I'll be just fine"

"It's just ... the last time I left, things didn't go that well" Mingyu sounded and felt really guilty, his eyes falling to Wonwoo's hands nervously brushing them softly

"It won't happen again I'm here with the people I love and trust the most" Wonwoo titled his head a little, how could he be this optimistic when Mingyu himself was so hesitant about leaving?

From a distance, Jeonghan seemed to be having the same conversation with Seungcheol and right outside in garden, Vernon was wiping away Seungkwan's tears. The newly joined couple were super quiet and soft not just with each other but with everyone else. They kept their distance but they were polite and respectful, thankful for everything Mingyu and Erin has done for them and Vernon peromised to repay their dept in any way possible.

Vernon placed a soft goodbye kiss over Seungkwan's lips. The younger looked weary and a little nervous but managed to let his husband go watching him leave along with Mingyu and Seungcheol.

Erin stood by the door waving goodbye at the trio. She glanced behind her where Jeonghan seemed to take Wonwoo inside the house and Seungkwan was silently gazing at the road Vernon and the others just departed from.

"Seungkwan?" She called softly wrapping a warm arm around him "Come on let's go inside, it's chilly" she advised and he followed "I trust you and Vernon talked things through?"

He nodded, he didn't say not a single word since the Alpha left.

"Okay great" she scanned him with a bit of worry "How's your arm feel?"

"Better, thank you" he replied voice low with a sad tone, his steps heavier than usual, making his way inside to the living room where Jeonghan and Wonwoo were silently sitting very slow.
