You wake up the next day finally not in a crazy amount of pain. The shard must have been causing you heaps of the pain. You roll over onto your side and see Newt still sleeping. He is facing you curled up. You turn back over so you are both facing the wall. You scooch back so you are against him. You lay like that for around fifteen minutes. Newt wakes up.
"Love?"
"Morning."
"Did I wake you?" Newt asks.
"No, did I wake you?"
"Nah, how's your leg feeling?"
"Actually it feels fine for once." You say with a laugh.
"That's good."
"H-how are you feeling?"
"Fine, I forgot to drink something last night."
You keep talking for a while then decide to get up. (You get dressed and go outside then) you head over to the washroom where you do your business and meet up outside afterwards. You are now able to walk as the main source of the pain was coming from the metal. You have a small bite to eat then get to work.
"How is your leg?" Newt asks while pulling a carrot out of the ground.
"NEWT! This is like the fourth time you've asked today, it's just fine." You tell him.
"Okay, l just worry."
"I know, I'm going to go grab my coat, do you need yours?" you ask while standing up.
"I can go get them." Newt offers.
"No it's okay, I want to walk around anyways! But thanks." You say while giving him a quick peck on the lips.
You walk over to your hut and grab the coats, on your way back to the gardens someone comes up behind you and gives you a hug. You immediately know who it is and excitedly yell
"Chuck!"
"Y/n! You can walk!" Chuck says happy.
"Yes I can!" you tell him while crouching down to see him easier.
"Can you play with me? Treasa says I'm not a baby and should be working."
"Why would she say that to you?"
"I don't know. Can you please play with me?"
"Sure, I'm just going to give Newt his coat then I can!" you tell him while standing up.
Chuck runs in front of you and gets to Newt. He jumps on his back and just like you, Newt knew exactly who it was.
"Chuck!" Newt yells happily.
"NEWT!" Chuck yells with excitement.
"Y/n has your coat then we are going to play. Do you want to play with us?" Chuck asks.
"What? I'm so confused?" newt questions
"I've got your coat, Chuck really wants to play so I'm going to take a break to play with him." You tell Newt.
"Just don't run. Please."
"No promises. You say sarcastically.
Chuck grabs your arm and drags you into the forest. He grabs some stones and asks you to take a few as well. You bring them out to a spot in the sun, Chuck quickly runs back into the forest and comes out with more rocks.
"Y/n, aren't you going to help?" Chuck says out of breath.
"Yep, I'll help now."
You grab rocks for around five minutes then switch to sticks.
"Okay, that should be enough, now we can build things.we are going to have a building competition." Chuck tells you.
He sits down on the grass and starts to build. You take a few rocks and sticks and try to copy as you have no idea what you're doing.
"HEY!" you jump. "NO COPYING!" Chuck yells at you.
"Ahh sorry."
You move a few things around and build a 2D house. Chuck has built a four story mansion. You keep playing with him for about thirty more minutes until Alby calls you back to work.
"Alright Chuck i've got to go back to work."
"Already?"
"Yes, go see what Alby is doing." you offer.
"Okay!" Chuck jumps on his building then runs off to find Alby.
You laugh and stand up. before you go to the garden you change your pad, your period is finally over. You walk over to the garden where newt is removing raspberries.
"Hey!" you say.
"Hey love! How was Chuck?" He asks, kissing you (on the lips.)
"Great! T-that k-kid is going to be a builder. He built an entire hut out of rocks and sticks. IT HAD FOUR FLOORS! You tell him.
"that is very impressive"
You finish getting all the berries. You pack them all up in small baskets and bring them to frypan.
"Thanks guys!"
"Any time dude!" Newt replies happily.
"Well we have the winter off! The gardens have been taken care of!"
"We don't work in the winter?" you ask
"Nope! Let's go clean up!"
(BEFORE YOU READ THIS THIS IS A DIFFERENT BREED OF NEWT IYKYK)
(you both shower then go back to your hut. You get changed then you stare at each other. Newt walks over to you and pins you up against the wall. you smile and say
"lock the door first baby."
"Oh yeah, now we don't want to get interrupted, do we?"
He comes back over to you and starts to kiss you. You kiss him back. He kisses your neck and it quickly bruises. You lose your balance and fall on the bed. Newt joins you and lets just say things get fun. You two really get into it and will be very sore tomorrow. You finished up and your legs are already quite sore. You don't notice the bruises on your neck from newt kissing you. You start to get re-dressed.
"Love what's on your neck?" Newt walks over to you "Uh oh. That was my bad. I may have bruised your neck."
"What do we do about that?" You ask.
"Where a turtle neck? I don't know."
"Smart."
You change your top and go for lunch.
