Newt picks you up and you shift uncomfortably. He loosens his grip and lets you get comfortable in his arms. He asks you to grab a blanket and you put it in your lap. Newt grabs it with his teeth to spread it over your legs.
“T-that was impressive!” You say as he carries you out of the hut.
“I don’t want you to be wet and cold!” He tells you starting to run to shelter.
As he is running you can feel his unsteady limp. He slows down and asks if he can put you down.
“May I set you down?”
“Yes please!”
Where do you want to sit?”
“Beside Chuck, he is all alone.”
Newt agrees and sits down with you. Newt is on the left, you are on the right and Chuck is in the middle.
“Hey guys! It’s getting colder by the day!” Chuck says with a shiver.
“Agreed!” You say sharing your blanket with him.
Newt taps your shoulder. You look over at him and ask
“What?”
“You look absolutely stunning right now, I just wanted to tell you. N-not that you’re not beautiful all the time, but something is different!”
You smile and say
“I know what you mean.”
Around an hour and a half goes by. it's starting to get dark. The rain has slowed down and frypan has made dinner. You eat with Newt and Chuck. You finish eating and mainly everyone including you and newt go back to their huts due to the chilly weather. Newt carries you back to the hut and asks you
“Aren't you hungry? You're hardly eating anything.”
“I'm okay, just not that hungry.” You tell him
You go inside and sit on the bed. Newt lights a few candles then comes over to the bed. He grabs your hands and helps you stand up.
“Can we dance?” you ask Newt.
“Uhh, sure.” Newt says hesitantly.
Newt puts one hand on your lower back and holds your hand. You put your hand on his shoulder.
“Will your foot be okay?”
“Yes, hopefully.”
You start to dance. He is very careful about your foot and lets you lead. Every movement feels in slow motion, you want this moment to last forever. He spins you and you fall into his arms. He kisses you and puts you on the bed. He looks out the window and gasps.
“Y/n! It's snowing!”
He wraps you in a blanket and carries you outside. He puts you down and stands beside you. You stand there for around five minutes then kiss, you stay kissing. The moon light is shining down on you illuminating the falling snow.
