Chapter 10

<<HE'S MY HUSBAND.>>

Hawk parked his car then he entered the cafe while looking at his phone. He told his friends he'll be late for a bit as he is stopping by at a cafe.

Esquire being the glutton of the group asks Hawk if he can get a chocolate and strawberry flavored macaroon, a box of cream puffs, and a chocolate frappe.

Shawn asks for a slice of red velvet cake while on the other hand Travis asks for a vanilla chiffon cake and an iced coffee. As Hawk memorized the things he needed to buy for his friends, he arrived at the counter.

A melodious voice rang in his ears as he slowly looked up to meet the person who was at the counter and his eyes widened in shock.

"Mom?! Why are you here?" Hawk asks the woman bewildered by her strange disguise.

"Oh so now you recognize your mom huh!" Elisa smiled but it didn't reach her eyes as angered boiled inside it.

"So, how come you're working here mom?" Hawk asks his mother as he sits down on a nearby chair.

Elisa sighed and began to close the shop as he joined her son who is currently sitting down at a nearby table.

"I'm just helping out my friend Olivia, her newly hired staff will be here in a minute, and she owns this cafe. So, my baby boy why are you here?" Elisa smiled as she ruffled her son's hair.

Hawk let his mom be as he answered not bothered by the situation "Well, I was on my way to meet my friend but then I saw this cafe and decided to order. I asked my friends if they wanted anything and they told me what they wanted."

"Ohhh my baby boy is such a kind-" Elisa didn't get to finish her sentence as she was cut off by her phone ringing.
"Excuse me for a moment."

Hawk followed his mom as he watched her expression turn from anger to sadness to disappointment to happiness. He was very bewildered by her mom's fast changing expressions.

As Elisa finished her call, she told her son that the new staff will be here and she'll be leaving now as she needs to go to her own company to tend to a problem with a customer.

Hawk only then did he remember that his mother owns a famous jewelry company and is a wealthy woman even without the support of his father's company which is the Snow Hilation Company.

"Mom, I just realized yet again how wealthy and powerful you are... I always wonder how dad gets to marry you." Hawk said while he follows his mother to where her car is parked.

Her mother chuckled at his son's statement and said "Your father was the first person who encouraged me to start my own business and he gave me a love that I can't get enough of." After her statement she smiled fondly as she patted her son's head before getting inside her car.

"Hawk, find someone you'll love and cherish. I believe that woman is your wife. I'll be going now and make sure to tell you're friends I said hi." Elisa closes her car door and starts her car as she leaves Hawk there standing.

Hawk once again went inside the cafe with his phone in his hands as it is now officially open.

"Welcome to Elements Cafe, Sir. May I take your order?" A clear and angelic voice greeted him and this shocked him as he looked up to see that it was his 'classmate'.

His jaw dropped as he saw his 'classmate', eyes closed as she smiled naturally.

When Rose didn't hear her customer's order she looked up as her eyes widened in shock and horror at the sight of Hawk.

Hawk being caught red handed, coughed lightly and stated his orders.

Hawk states his orders slowly as he sees how Rose is struggling on the machine to take his order which he found amusing "So, I'll take chocolate and strawberry flavored macaroons, a box of cream puffs, a slice of red velvet cake and a vanilla chiffon cake, a milk-chocolate frappe and an iced coffee latte, all of it are for take out."

Rose got his orders thanks to his tone slowing down while Hawk stated his orders. Rose looked up and accidentally made eye contact with Hawk.

"Is there anything else you want to order, sir?" Rose held her eye contact with Hawk even though she could look away.

"I'd like to order a caramel apple parfait
and an apple frappuccino, that's for dine in, thanks." Hawk said while he looked at Rose tidying up his orders.

After that, Hawk went to a nearby table just so he could observe Rose's smiling face.

Meanwhile on Rose's side, after Hawk went to sit down Joy approached Rose as a teasing grin apparent on her face.

"So, I just noticed that when you first saw him, you were quite happy yet shocked at the same time." Joy said as she helped Rose in Hawks orders.

"Is that so?" Rose said not bothering to look at Joy as she made Hawk's take out orders.

"So, is he your boyfriend?"

Joy's question caught Rose of guard as she almost dropped the cup she was holding and a shocked expression was etched in her face.

"Did I hit the right nail on your head?" Joy said looking at Rose teasingly. "You know, you're very beautiful while your boyfriend is so handsome, you guys are a match made in heaven."

Again this caught Rose of guard as she lightly coughed to hide her embarrassment and said "That guy is not my boyfriend."

"Not your boyfriend yet, 'cause he is still courting you, right?" Joy said.

"He's not my suitor nor my boyfriend, so please stop the questioning and just focus on our job first." Rose said while she headed to the table to give Hawk his dine in orders.

An hour has passed and Hawk is still there even though his orders have been on his table for a while now.

"Is he really neither of what I said, Rose?" Joy looked at her since there was no customer present except for Hawk.

"Yeah." Rose said quitely not looking at Joy, as she tidied the cake arrangement.

"Then how come he's still here? And don't you dare deny it, you felt him staring at you all this time." Joy said as she shooked her shoulder.

Rose lightly slaps Joy's hands away as she turns her back to Joy she mumbled something to herself "He's neither of them because he's already my husband."

"What was that Rose?" Joy said as she heard Rose mumbled something in audible.

"Nothing. Don't bother him, he'll be out in a minute." Rose said continuing her task of arranging the cakes.

As if on cue Hawk's phone rang.
