They came out wearing their sports uniforms, and of course, the boys were just staring at the girls because they could see them in an outfit different from what they saw last time.

As they all gathered at the gym, the students chatted past the time until their teacher arrived. Moments later they saw their teacher entering and all of them went quiet.

Their physical education teacher, Mister Eduard Cain Buenaventura, a middle aged man in his thirties, chestnut-brown hair and striking emerald-green eyes, looked at his class briefly and went towards the equipment room without saying anything.

The moment he was out of sight, the students released a sigh...

"Gosh, Sir Eduard is so scary." One of the female gossipers said, it also happens that she and her friends are the one who Rose overheard gossiping the other day. Her name is Audrey Gonzales.

"Yeah, for sure but at the same time he's handsome." Her other friend Everlie Stone said in a daydreaming tone.

"Yeah, for real... But I feel like he's no longer single." She is Raquel Torres.

"Now that you mention it...But anyways enough about that, I just hope that we can play a more aggressive sport." Their last friend' s name is Giselle Zamora.

These four are the main source of gossip in all of the Royal Academy.

The moment they saw what sports equipment Sir Eduard was holding, most of them cheered while the others frowned.

"Class, we're going to play volleyball." Sir Eduard said while holding up a volleyball ball.

"Sir, can we play fencing instead? It's been a long time since we played that sport and we'd like to experience two of the top players in both male and female divisions." Audrey said as she looked at Rose competitively.

"I'd like to test their abilities too, however we need to play dual sports so all of you can achieve in assessing the situation as fast as possible, attain fast desicion-making skills and for me to assess your individual skills more closely." Sir Eduard reason with them.

All of them agreed but Giselle realized something odd to what their teacher said.

"Sir, what do you mean by dual sport? Isn't volleyball played by six people including a libero?" Giselle asked their teacher.

"We're playing indoor beach volleyball, which means 2 on 2. So everyone, find a partner to pair with. We're playing one lose and you're out. Your grade including your partners grade will also go downhill. I'm giving you 5 minutes to pair with someone, it's alright to pair with the opposite sex." With that said he shut down potential questions from other students.

Almost everyone had a partner, except Rose, who thought she wouldn't be joining at all. Since their class numbers are odd which means one is left out.

Suddenly, the person she bumped into on her first day of class arrived.

That person said "Sorry I'm late Sir Eduard, Ma'am Hailey instructed me to bring files to the admin office."

Sir Eduard nodded his head in understanding and said "Pair up with someone Mr. Javier, we're about to play indoor beach volleyball."

He looked around for a bit and saw Rose, who was about to sit down at the bench. He went up to her with the intention of taking Rose as his partner.

"Excuse me, Miss Cind, do you have a partner yet?" He said as he approached Rose at a leisure pace.

Rose turned around to look at the person who asked her and said "I don't have a partner."

His smile brightens as his eyes twinkle in glee knowing that she has no partner yet. He said to her in enthusiasm "Would you like to be my partner Miss Cind?"

Rose looked at him for a second then she looked around the whole gym and noticed that most of them stopped what they were doing and is already looking at them.

She frowned because of the unwanted attention then her face became neutral again as she turned back to the guy who asked her.

She answered "Sure."

Rose held out her hand and said "I'm Rose, nice to meet you... What's your name again?"

He chuckled for a bit then said "The guy you bumped into your first day here."

Rose retracted her hand and her expression turned into confusion as she said "Ohh that... I'm really sorry about that. But I really don't know your name."

He became shocked for a bit then he chuckled and said "You seriously don't know my name? Then I'm sure you know my surname, right? I mean a few months have passed, I'm sure you already know my surname."

"I don't know your name nor your surname, I just remember you as the guy I bumped into on my first day here." Rose said in all seriousness.

He became amused in the situation he's in and started laughing for a bit.

He then extended his hands and said "Then let me introduce myself properly this time Miss Cind. I'm Couglan, Couglan Javier. Nice to meet you Miss Rose Cind."

Rose said "Likewise, Couglan and call me by my name."

She shakes his hand for a moment and was about to retract it when Couglan unexpectedly kissed the back of her hand which made her at loss for words for a moment.

Couglan looked at Rose then said "I'll do just that, Rose." Rose frowned on the scene Couglan made because it drew more unwanted attention to them.

With that he let go of her hand and their pair was made. Murmurs start to become evident after their little fiasco.

Seeing that everyone is already paired. Sir Eduard explains the rules to them, her also talks about the basics of the sport and each game the first team to score five points wins.

"Class talk to your teammates as the volleyball coach and I set up the courts we'll use." Sir Eduard said as the volleyball coach and him start's to father the material.

With that said, all the pairs start talking to one another but Rose and Couglan remained indifferent to one another. Couglan is concentrating while Rose had her eyes closed, clearly uninterested in the fiasco their classmates are causing.

"Couglan partnered with the silent girl." One of her classmates said.

"Rather than being silent, she's more like an indifferent type." Everlie said.

"Makes sense, I'm sure they'll lose the first round...I mean they're a fencer not a volleyball player." Raquel said as she joined them leaving her partner to talk with the others.

"I just noticed that I don't see Rose in the cafeteria during recess not on our lunch break." Everlie said.

"Maybe she's in the library? Anyways, Couglan knows how to play volleyball  and has skills and all, but Rose... I don't know." This time Audrey butted in.

"Enough of that. The match is about to start though I pity Couglan a bit." Giselle said dispersing the other students who gathered with them.

On the other hand Rose and Couglan thought different things...

Couglan thought *Annoying... But they do have a point, I don't know if Rose can play this sport and we still have no coordination. Who cares though? I'm sure Rose and I can handle this game.*

Rose thought with her eyes closed *So noisy... They never shut their mouth. Couglan seems skilled, I'm sure we both can win this easily.*

Their thought came to a halt as their teacher blew his whistle signalling the start of their little activity.

Couglan turned to Rose and at the same time Rose turned to him and she said quickly "I know how to play... Let's secure the top spot, Couglan."

Couglan nodded his head and said
"Yes, boss."
