Alexi - POV
"Are you ready?" My father asks me as I slip on a new shirt, brushing my damp hair back after a quick shower. I nod as I lean down and slip my shoes on before grabbing the bracelet and slipping it on my wrist.
"Yes. We're out of time." I confirm as we walk out of my tent. I've passed some of the warriors and shifters I've come to know over the last few days.
"I wish you would let us go with you? I'm not comfortable with you going alone." He grumbles behind me. Knowing how stubborn I and my wolf are.
"I'm not going alone. Lady Vivian is going with me." I remind him as we pass another row of tents and make our way to the meeting spot. "I need her to teleport me to the elder and get her family out while I take care of Min."
"Alexi. Fighting an elder, especially one who has witches with her, and by yourself. Isn't that..." He tries again to convince me, but I turn and look up at him. His frown only grew as we locked eyes.
"That's exactly why you are all staying here." I demand. Causing his frown to grow deeper. " This isn't going to be like the others. She can kill most of you without even being near you."
He sighs loudly as I keep my face stoic. I hope my words help him understand.
"Once I take down the barrier, she will get them out and come back for me. Antony will learn of the attack and what happened. If we want to keep him from moving the waystone, I need all of you there and ready."
After a few more awkward seconds, he relents and pulls me into a hug. I hug him back and sigh as he pushes his emotions through our family bond.
"Alexi. It's time to go." A sharp voice pulls us from our embrace. I turn and nod at Lady Vivian as she waits with the others and Tanya.
I was a bit surprised when she showed up today. But was relieved when she told us that Callum had woken up. A few asked who was taking care of him, but she just said she had left someone to watch him. I didn't comment.
"Don't forget. This waystone will teleport you to a holding area outside the castle. They screen everything before allowing them to enter." Tanya explains as we walk over to an area where Vivian had drawn a spell on the ground. Apparently, it will mask our presence when we teleport.
"Once you are out of there, you will see the palace. It's built into the mountain. The large spire at the top is the throne room. I gave Lady Vivian the information of where my family should be." Tanya explains. "Good luck."
"Thank you." I tell her as we step into the circle. I look over at my family and friends.
"Once I'm done with the elder, we will teleport to the other waystone and meet you there. We can't give them a chance to react." I remind them. I hope our plan works.
"We've sent a few groups to attack some targets to distract them, and the witches have their own targets." My grandfather reminds me as I watch everyone's get ready to leave. "We sent scouts to the mountains that Tanya told us about. We'll meet you there. Be safe."
I nod. Closing my eyes as the magic surrounds us. Praying to our goddess for victory.

"There it is." Vivian whispers as we walk down the path. Still hidden by her spell. The area is deserted as we approach the remote site hidden in the numerous paths and valleys. You would never find it if you didn't know where to look.
I feel the bracelet warm as we step out into the clearing. The large circular area lined with small stones. Runes carved into each. But it's the center stone that I'm here for. It's made of some type of crystal and starts glowing the closer we get to it.
