41. A Magical Christmas List Switcharoo

December, 1987

It was Christmas Eve in the Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. The snow was coming down, creating a winter wonderland. The lakes were frozen, and perfect for skating, and people were gathering their Christmas presents, because there was just one more day until Christmas! Over in the park, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Hokey Wolf, Pixie, and Dixie were enjoying themselves as they played in the snow. They were all wearing their scarves, mittens, and for Huck, Snag, and the meeces, winter hats.

First, they decided to build a snowman. As Hokey rolled a giant snowball across the ground to create the first part of its body, Snag, Quick Draw and Huck started making some smaller ones to go on top. The meeces were gathering up things to create the snowman's face.

"Should we give him a button nose or a carrot nose, Dixie?" Pixie asked.

"I dunno, Pixie. They both sound like good choices."

"Maybe we can flip a coin!" Pixie said, pulling out a coin. "Heads for the button, tails for the carrot!" He flipped the coin in the air, and caught it in the palm of his little hand. "Heads! So let's give Huck this button for the nose!"

They gave Huck a big red button, and the hound stuck it on the snowman's face for a nose. He even placed a top hat on its head!

"There! He looks so handsome! I wish he'd come to life though. That would be magical!"

Then the gang decided to ride down the hill on their sleds. They ran up to the top of the hill, and then hopped on their sleds, and down they went! Whoosh!

"WHEEEEE!!!" Huck squealed.

"YIPPEE!!!" the meeces cheered.

"YA-HOO!!" Hokey shouted.

"Yeeee-HAW!!" Quick Draw hollered.

Snag was the only one who wasn't cheering and whooping gleefully. "YIIIIPE!!" he cried, clinging to Hokey's arm. "Too fast! Too steep, even! Whoooaaaa!!!"

When they reached the bottom of the hill, they all landed in a big pile of snow! They poked their heads out, and had snow all over their heads! When they all saw the snow on their heads, they all cracked up laughing.

"How 'bout that?" Huck chuckled. "We look like a bunch of sundaes with whipped cream on top!"

That made everyone laugh harder. After they shook the snow off, they decided to make snow angels. That is, until...

WHAP!

"Hey!"

Quick Draw had been hit with a snowball! He got up, and looked around until he saw Hokey laughing.

"Ohhhh, you wanna play it that way, do you, Hokey?" the horse snickered as he made a snowball of his own. He then threw it at Hokey, hitting him in the stomach!

"Hey, what was that?"

Quick Draw laughed. "Two can play this sneaky game!"

Huck got up and made a snowball too. "Then in that case...SNOWBALL FIGHT!!"

The gang started throwing snowballs at each other as their laughter filled the air. Huck hit Hokey on his side, and Quick Draw managed to hit Snag on his back. The meeces were also making big snowballs, and hit each other with them. Huck then tried to go for Snag, but his snowball merged with the lion's before it flew right into Quick Draw's face!

"Hey!"

"Whoops!" Huck said sheepishly. "I wasn't aimin' for you, Quick Draw!"

"Yeah? Well now you're gonna get it, Huck! Hahaha!"
