 September 9th, 1980

Boo-Boo Bear was sitting on a rock right near a tree in the park.

"What should I do?" he wondered. "I really want Yogi to feel special. I've done everything from picnics, to gatherings, and even a vacation! But I just wonder what he'd like this year."

Just then, Huckleberry Hound came hanging down from the tree, where he'd been lounging.

"Howdy, Boo-Boo!" he greeted. "I didn't see ya' down there!"

"Huck? Where'd you come from?"

"Oh, I was just hangin' around up in that tree. Sometimes I like to climb up there and just un-lax."

"I see," Boo-Boo replied.

"And sometimes I do it just for fun!" Huck chuckled. "It's like I'm pretending to be a monkey! See?" Then he began to screech like a monkey.

"Eek eek! Oooh oooh, AAAAH AAAH!!!"

That made Boo-Boo laugh. "Alright, Huck, listen to me. You know what today is, do you?"

"September 9th?" Huck replied.

"Well, yes, but it's also a very special day! You know what it is, do you?"

"Your birthday?"

Boo-Boo laughed. "No! Yogi's birthday!"

"Ohhhh, right, I almost forgot that today was Yogi's birthday!"

"So, what do you think we should do for him?"

"Well, if there's one thing I know Yogi loves, it's anything edible!" Huck laughed. "Cause if there's one thing Yogi loves more than anything else...it's food!"

"That's for sure!" Boo-Boo laughed.

"He also loves parties and surprises! Remember when you guys threw me that big surprise party for my birthday?"

"Yeah, that was fun! Hey! Maybe we can return the favor to him with a surprise birthday party!"

"Great idea!" Huck beamed. "But, that means we'll need to get a lot of food!"

"You bet!" Boo-Boo replied. "We can look for the best caterers in town for that!"

"Well then, we'll ring them up, and start sending invitations!" Huck grinned. 'To Jellystone Park!"

And off they went to Jellystone Park. When they got there, they immediately got to work making the invitations for the party, which read, "We're having a party for Yogi in Jellystone Park! Meet us at Yogi's place and we'll get things ready for the big celebration! But don't tell Yogi! It's a surprise!"

Then the duo immediately headed for Huck's house to start making tons of invitations. Once they were finished, Huck told Boo-Boo to start delivering them to their friends while he started getting things arranged back at the lodge in Jellystone Park. Soon, everyone had gotten their invites, and they all made their way to Jellystone Park to start preparations for the party.

"Okay!" Huck called out as everyone gathered around near the big hill at the center of the park. "Now that we're all here, we gotta start makin' plans for Yogi's big celebration!"

"But most importantly, we need to figure out how to keep it a surprise until everything's ready!" Boo-Boo added. "That means someone is gonna have to keep Yogi busy!"

"Not me!" Fred Flintstone called.

"Ror me!" Scooby-Doo added.

"Hmmm, I think we oughtta take a vote here," Huck mumbled to himself. Then he whistled to get everyone's attention. "Okay, here's what we're gonna do! Everyone write down your name on a piece of paper, and we'll take a vote to see who keeps Yogi busy. The rest of y'all will split up and try to decide who gets to do what while we prepare for the party. Does that sound fair to everyone?"
