September 1991

One day, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, and Quick Draw McGraw were getting ready to take off for some fun and excitement. You see, Huck had conjured some broomsticks for Snag and Quick Draw, because for so long, they had been interested in flying, just like him. So, to help his friends, the blue hound used his magical Candy Stick wand to make some magic broomsticks just for them. They were now standing in Huck's driveway, about to test them out.

"Oooooh, this isn't gonna be easy," Snag said, nervously.

"Don't worry, Snag," Huck replied. "All you have to do is hang on and just sorta...y'know, get a feel for it. Sorta like ridin' a bike!"

"Yeah, but a bike has pedals, and it's on the ground too! I could fall off this thing quite easily...take a tumble, even!"

"No, no!" Huck chuckled. "Broomstick riding is easier than bike riding for sure, 'cause you don't have to pedal, and second of all, you just gotta let the magic of the broom carry you along."

Quick Draw nodded. "That's what I says about ridin' horses! The better you get to know them, the easier it gets!"

"You got it, Quick Draw! Now, watch me! I hold onto the handle, then I just sorta hop on, and sit like so. Try it, fellers!"

Quick Draw and Snag did exactly as Huck told them, and hopped onto their brooms.

"Good!" Huck grinned. "Now, to take off, all you gotta do is say the magic words, and off you go! Like this! Up, up, up, and AWAY!!"

And just like magic, he started to take off into the air!

"Come on, fellers!" he called.

"Alright, here goes!" Quick Draw grinned. "Up, up, up, and AWAY!!"

The mustang gave his broom a slight kick, the same way he did whenever he rode a horse, and he too started to rise into the air!

"Whoooaaa, nelly!" he cried. "This feels real strange! But it's already kinda fun!"

"You too, Snag!" Huck shouted. "Come on up! The air's great!"

"Ohhhhhh, if you insist," Snag said nervously. He gulped and cried in a shaky voice, "Up, up, up, and away!" And as he took off, he let out a yelp of fright. "I never thought I'd fly before!"

"Don't worry, Snag!" Huck replied. "You'll be fine! Now, steering this thing can be simple. Just watch me, and you'll get the hang of it!"

Huck steered the handle to the right, and he did a turn, just like that.

"See how easy it is to steer? Just point it where you wanna go!"

"Hey, this is a cinch!" Quick Draw exclaimed.

"Hey!" Snag grinned. "This isn't as hard as I thought! And not only that...it's actually kinda fun! Enjoyable, even!"

"See?" Huck beamed. "It's as easy as pie! Now come on! Let's fly!"

The trio glided through the air, enjoying the wind in their fur, watching the birds fly past them, and looking at the sights down below.

"Who knew the Funtastic World would look so tiny from so high up!" Quick Draw chuckled. "The cars look like little toys!"

Huck laughed. "Yeah, they're so small from up here! And you can see that the buses look like little grasshoppers!"

"And the people look like ants!" Snag chuckled.

The three friends laughed as they continued to soar through the sky. They glided over the city, then over the forest, where they could see the trees spreading out for miles. They glided over the river, past a gorgeous waterfall on the side of the cliff. They saw a flock of geese fly past them, which Huck had to wave hello to. They glided over the meadow and saw a beautiful butterfly fly up to them.
