I toss and turn over in bed to slap my alarm clock off. I flop back down and stare at the ceiling. Today already doesn't feel any better than yesterday.

H (Chingy) and I had an intense argument last weekend. I mean...this is nothing new. We fight and argue 24/7. But there was something about this particular time that changed everything. Usually, I would hear from him by now, but it's been four days.

I know he's not good for me and I'll be the first to admit it. He's nothing but trouble and chaos. He's in and out of my life constantly and always fuckin' with my emotions, yet he's managed to sweep me off my feet. I hate that I feel incapable of loving anyone else.

The comedy special goes on a commercial break and he finally notices me standing behind him.

He looks at me and smirks.

Serena: How'd you get in here?

With that stupid smirk stained on his face, he replies,

Chingy: Baby, I told you to always lock your doors.

Annoyed, I answered,

Serena: I did lock my doors before I left, what are you talking about?

Chingy: Then explain to me why I was able to enter through the kitchen patio.

I paused. The patio doors were wide open, letting the fresh summer air fill the kitchen.

He laughs,

Chingy: What if I was a murderer? You gotta be more careful baby.

I shook my head,
