[This makes use of before my one fanfic I'm writing, A Twisted Truth starts. It's been about two months since Sabre's return and Sabre badly wants to see what Time truly looks like.]

[Time's POV]

Sabre had been watching me cook dinner when he brought up what I thought to be a bizarre question. It surprised me, as I had absolutely no idea where this could've come from.

"Time?" He asked from chair he had set up on the other side of the room, getting up to walk over closer to me.

"Yeah?" I replied with, not even looking up from what I was cooking.

"Can I see what you look like under your cloak?" Sabre said as if it wasn't even a big deal.

I froze, obviously shocked from the question. "No." I said firmly after finally gaining my sense back.

Sabre leaned against me and I ruffled his hair. "But whyyyy..?" He lengthened the word for dramatic effect, honestly it just sounded like whining.

"Because Sabre. I don't just cover up my entire self for the fun of it. I'm not comfortable with showing myself off to people. Plus, I came into the world like this." I tried explaining logically, hoping Sabre would put aside his stubbornness for once and respect my boundaries.

Sabre only frowned. "But you know what my eyes look like!! This should be like some kind of uhh.." Sabre started moving his hands back and forth to get his point across. "Some trust thing between us!"

I sighed. "One, I never asked to see your eyes, I knew you weren't comfortable with others seeing them; it was an accident I walked in on you with the blindfold off. Two, you wouldn't..." I trailed off, going back to cooking us dinner. This would definitely be awkward while eating..

Sabre raised a brow, getting off of me to lean on the counter. "I wouldn't what? You think I-I would leave you because of how you look?! Time, that's ridiculous! You're my best friend!! Why would you even think-" He placed a hand on his head.

I cut him off. "Yeah! Maybe you would leave! You'd go somewhere with someone who could protect you better, not-not this!!" I gestured go my entire self.

Sabre looked at me like I was stupid. "Time, I'm sorry, but that is the stupidest thing you've ever said. I don't stay with you for protection, I stay with you because you're my best friend and I enjoy being around you."

I didn't say anything, going back to cooking.

Sabre grabbed my arm. "That's actually concerning Time.. Why would you even think I'd leave you for not being strong enough??" He sounded genuinely concerned, it didn't matter though.

I didn't even look back up. "It isn't like you feel any different. Maybe we should change the subject."

"What?? No- Time please can you show me?? I-I'm sure it will help! Why can't you- Was it Elemental?!" He pleaded.

Asking about Elemental made something snap in me, something in the wrong place. "I SAID NO!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD SABRE!!" I yelled, aggressively tugging my arm away from him.

I immediately regretted everything once I saw the look on Sabre's face. First he was terrified, then came the realization of how he was acting about it. "Sabre.." I said.

He looked back up at me, tearing up. "I-I'm so sorry Time.." Sabre slowly backed away and almost tripped, leaving the room and going upstairs.

"Sabre!!" I looked back at the pot, putting down my spoon I order to follow him. When I walked upstairs to his room I found Sabre sobbing, curled up in a ball in a corner.

I walked over to him, sitting down and rubbing circles onto his back and he lifted his head. "I-I'm so *hic* so sorry Time. It seemed like such a good idea in the moment! I just *hic* wasn't really thinking about you comfort." He put his head back in between his knees. "I don't know how to do this right... How to, deal with people's insecurities.." He sniffled.

I warmly smiled at him. "It's alright Sabre.. I know you're impulsive. Besides, I shouldn't have yelled like that-"

Sabre cut me off, looking back up at me. "No! Don't say that! I was pushing your boundaries, you had every right to yell at me." He said sternly.

Even though Sabre couldn't see it, I smiled again. "I'm glad you acknowledge that. I completely accept your apology." I pat his back.

Sabre hugged me. "Though I do think that we'll have to talk about this, when you're ready of course." He said nervously, as if it were a question.

"Always.. And I do think you had a point with bringing up trust. I believe while we should get better with boundaries, I believe we need more trust within each other. We need to be able to reply on each other no matter what. So, I'll show you what I look like."

Sabre gave me a sorry look. "I- Time.. You don't have to do that.. I don't want to pressure you into anything.." He said softly, his wings slightly dropping.

I stopped him. "No. I want to. It's just.." I trailed off, looking down.

"Scary?" Sabre finished for me.

"Yeah.."

"It's okay.. I promise that whatever you may look like, I won't judge. I get the feeling." Sabre booped one of the hands on my cloak mask.

I took a deep breath, my hands shaking as I slipped them under my hood. Slowly, I unbuckled the strap with a click. It fell into my lap. And as I looked down at the interior, my breathing got faster and faster until-

"Time.. It's alright.." Sabre gently grabbed my wrist, doing everything else. He pulled my hood back and down, his jaw dropping in the slightest.

I looked down, nervous. "Time.. You're beautiful."

That was a surprise to me. "But.. I have so many scars..."

Sabre chuckled. "Then I guess we match, don't we?"

I laughed as well. "Yeah.." As mentioned, my skin was scarred and I was missing an eye. But besides from that, I wasn't anything special. My hair was very curly and pitch black with dots that resembled stars in it. My eye glowed a soft yellow and my skin was slightly olive. I also had the ears of a sheep that were colored the same as my hair.

I felt Sabre's hand make its way up to one of my ears, playing with it. "They're so soft.." He smiled once again.

I leaned into the touch. No one had ever really affectionately touched my ears, it felt nice. "Mhm.."

Sabre continued, not even acknowledging how much I obviously enjoyed this. "I'm surprised I didn't guess you'd have sheep ears. As Galaxy was an indigo steve and you were created by him, accidental, but still. Though Elemental only had Galaxy's horns so.. I guess I thought you"d have horns as well?? I find it odd you don't have any.."

"Well, Galaxy was split between us. So while Elemental got all the intimidating bits from out creator and I got.. All the soft and fluffy parts." I said quietly, fidgeting with my hands.

"I don't mind, you're adorable." Sabre's other hand moved to my cheek and my face turned slightly red.

Sabre chuckled. "How about we go downstairs and you finish cooking?"

I nodded. "Sounds good."

I started to grab my mask, but Sabre stopped me. "How about we not..? Is that fine?"

I paused. "...Alright."
