[Rainbow's POV]

I walked into my house, sighing. It had definitely been a long week..

Sabre had been hiding after the incident where I found out what he was and honestly I hadn't been in the mood either. You can't blame me. You wouldn't be in the right mindset either if you found out your new best friend had been the monster that brutally devoured your old best friend.

Yeah..

I had caught him out EATING someone in what he told me was his true form. It was horrifying. Bones all bent in the wrong angles, much too skinny, jarring bones sticking out, unhinged jaw, pitch black eyes.

A mouth dripping with blood... Looking at you like you were it's next meal..

I'd never forget what I saw in the darkness of the forest when I found what remained of Carmine's body..

However I did know he was trying to change, I could feel it. If he wasn't, I'd be dead by now and so would many other friends we had. I couldn't really tell though until I'd become Rainbow. Somehow, I could understand him. We still spoke different languages but I just internally knew what was being said; it went both ways.

I walked up the stairs to my room, yawning as I stopped before I had opened the door. I heard my bedsheets shuffling in there... Who..?

I slowly opened my door to pitch darkness as I had blackout curtains and slept better in it. On my bed I saw two piercing eyes that made my blood run cold.

I quickly fumbled for the light switch, turning it on and finding Sabre..? It wasn't either of the forms I'd seen, neither human nor monster, more of a mix. He was huge still, seems like I'd only make it to his knees. But his limbs were long and lanky, no jarring angles though. He face wasn't terrifying, more like a cat in steve-like way..? Whatever it was, it was oddly adorable..

"Sabre..? What are you doing..?" I said, once he noticed me he squeaked, scrambling around and falling off the side of the bed with a thunk. Sabre took the chance to hide.

I walked around the side. "Sabre.. I'm not mad y'know.. I care but probably not as much as I should." I chuckled and he looked up at me with a kind of puppy eyes. Aaaaaaaa why is he so adorableeeedhsbhshfujajs.

"Really..?" His voice spoke out the garbled language, I still knew it though.

"Yep. Now why were you in my bed? I'm not mad, I'm just confused." I tilted my head to the side and curled my tail into a question mark.

"Comfy.. Missed you.." He said softly, looking down to the side.

I smiled. "Awwe.. You missed me..?" I sat on the edge of the bed, patting the space next to me. "C'mon. We can cuddle tonight okay..?"

Sabre piped up immediately, crawling onto the bed with me. Goodness he really is huge-

He scooped my up in his arms, scaring me. Sabre rubbed his head against mine. He leaned on the pillow and encased me in his arms. "Soft.."

"Mhm, the pillows are really soft." I said, leaning Sabre.

"No, you soft." He moved a hand up to my head and scritched at my cat ears, I practically melted into the sensation. I began purring.

"That's nice." The way Sabre way holding me, I couldn't move. It was fine though, I trusted him..

We both silently drifted off to sleep for the night, lights on and all.
