Chromatober Day 17 - Ice

[This makes use of my book in the making called A Twisted Truth!! Basically a TR and RQ crossover but wholesome. This would probably happen after the story has ended. It's winter, and TR knows what ice is, he really just didn't expect it to be this cold.]

[TR's POV]

I was decked out in as much warm clothes as possible, still shaking. I didn't really want them since I would've been FINE. Unfortunately Happy shoved as much as he could on me every time went out ever since it's gotten colder.

I'm not used to the cold as my only experience in my original universe was during warm times. So the cold was.. New...

I shoved my gloved hands in my pockets with a shiver. We were going to a random lake so Happy could show me what it looked like when 'frozen over', whatever that meant...

Happy started running when we were close, tail swishing behind him. I chuckled at the sight. Happy crouched over and traced his claws over the ice.

The lake was an odd sight for sure... How was it this cold that all of the water had FROZEN. Oh, 'frozen over', makes sense.

I walked over to Happy, patting his back as we couched over the edge of the lake. I slipped my glove off, slowly moving my hand down to touch it. I gasped and retracted my hand at contact.

I knew what it was but.. I didn't expect it to be so cold. It was freezing..

I moved my hand back down, quite enjoying the freezing feeling. Happy gave me a bit of a concerned look after a bit too long of pressing my hand on the surface. "You know you cold hurt yourself if you do that for too long, right?" He asked, a bit concerned.

I pulled my hand away, it was a tad bit blue. "Oh. Sorry." I said quietly.

"It's fine, I just don't want you hurt. And I think you'd wanna keep that hand, right?" Happy smiled at me with a tilted head.

"Yep. I like having hands."

"I bet."

There was a minute of tranquility between us. It was like there was nothing else but us and the lake here. Things really weren't that bad..! I've.. Adapted to the annoying people of this universe. Even Sabre..

...The cold is nice...

It's so welcoming.. It's like a friend..

I think I like the cold.
