The next day went by quickly, them going out to the garden on their small break. Instead of charging like they were supposed to on breaks, they spent time together.

"Would you like to read in the garden today? It's sunny but there is lots of mud.." N asked, holding the book they were reading in hand.

"Yes! Of course," She said joyfully, hugging him before N held her by her waist, pulling her up off the ground and spinning her.

V giggled, soring for a few seconds before being sat down in front of him.

"Alright... but we gotta be quiet, Tessa and her family are eating lunch right now in the dining room," N shushed her, V nodding and taking his hand.

They ran through the dimly lit hallways holding each other's hands, smiling and giggling. They looked both ways before entering the hallways, peaking between corridors.

"Ahem, where do you think YOU'RE going?' A voice asked sternly. N bumped into them, stumbling back, V letting go of his hand and watching him fall in front of her.

N looked up to see who he had interrupted. They had two pigtails tied with bows and bangs covering some of their visor.

J.

"Just wondering around..." V said shyly.

J nodded suspiciously at her.

"N? Explain yourself," J interrogated him, using his code name since she didn't believe they could ever have real ones.

"I- we were just going to the dining room to help out with lunch!" He reassured her, trying to get her to leave them alone.

"The back door... last night it was unlocked with mud trails leading to the library. Any ideas?'

J waited patiently for a response before N just looked the other direction behind her, after a while promoting her to look at what he had been focused on.

N grabbed V's hand once more as they ran to the door, seeing the mud trail they made last time.

Soon, they eventually made it to the small glass door that once led to a rainy night, though now showcased a bright sunny sky lighting green plants and multicolored flowers. N opened the door, V walking outside, squinting, for her vision was adjusting.

Birds chirped and bees buzzed around V, making her feel like some sort of princess, N watching in awe.

N followed behind her and meshed both their hands together, holding the book still close to him.

"There's a bench right over there," N spoke, pointing at a bench made of metal.

"Let's read there, what do ya think?" N asked, looking at V, her face blushing.

She nodded before N swung her to run over to the bench, sitting her down and then himself. A small tree provided shade as they read the book.

V stretched as she made her way onto the bench, resting her head in the nook of N's shoulder, his head on top of hers shortly.

As N began to read, a gentle breeze flew throughout the garden, the dewy grass swaying in the wind and the trees blowing. Their breathing was steady like the wind, a small creek flowing in the back. The flowers danced around as the wind slowed down, giving N an idea.

"I have an idea..." N spoke, getting up from V, her head lifting. N walked over to the rainbow array of flowers and picked out once he though she'd like.

He lowered himself onto his knees, looking at the assortment of flowers, getting his clothing a bit dirty.

"Here! I though you'd like it,"N spoke, a daisy in hand, his other hand behind him politely.

V gasped blushing.

"Nate! You little- oh my robo god.." She cried, over flowing with happiness.

"Here, lemme just..." N began, putting the small flower in her hair.

V blushed, feeling the daisy in her hair.

"That gives me an idea!' V gasped, running past him and getting multiple flowers.

She sat on the bench once more, mimicking her and opening the book to read as she fumbled with flowers. Whenever he asked what she was doing, she would state its a surprise.

Finally she interrupted the story with information and gift for him.

"Tada!" She presented him with a flower crown.

N looked at it, V putting it on his hat.

"How do I look?" He asked, making V giggle.

"Handsome as always.." V spoke flirtatiously, making N blush with laughter.

As N read more, V fell asleep on his shoulder.

"Valarie? Val...?" N would whisper, before seeing the words 'SLEEP MODE' on her visor. He smiled at seeing V so peaceful. She was always awkward and messy, unorganized and flustered, though now she was calm.

"NATE??? VALARIE??? HELLO?? ARE YOU TWO OUT HERE???" A voice called them. It was clear it was Tessa, N waving her over not wanting to wake V.

"Nate? What are you doing here? Is Val...?" Tessa asked.

"We thought it might be nice to spend our break reading in the garden, though Valarie fell asleep..." N whispered, playing with Vs white hair mesmerizingly.

"I see.. would you like me to carry her inside? If you could hold doors open for me that would be of help," Tessa asked, N nodded and Tessa cupping V in her hands.

N held the doors open for Tessa as obligated and once they were back in the library, V was set aside a bookshelf.

N sat next to V, bringing her onto himself. He soon fell asleep his hand on her waist and her head resting against N.
