N had never gone into the library. Not once in his 2 months living and serving there, though he was drawn.

V was there all the time. She would read onto he floor as the sun beamed on her face almost perfectly. She looked like an angel almost. 

She would focus on the books for hours and hours before getting a request on her task bar from the humans.

She was reading the book carefully, looking beautiful as always, letting N make his move. 

He walked into the library and went into the isle she would be. She was on the floor, the book close to her face while fidgeting with the ribbon on her uniform.

"Oh, hello Val!" N waved, acting as if he had just stumbled into her on purpose.

"Hello Nate, what are you doing here..?" She greeted, a bit confused of his surprise appearance.

N shrugged. "I was actually looking for you,"

V's eyes widened. 

"Just to check in y'know.." N itched his head. "How was your first... uh how long has it been?"

"A while... maybe a few weeks?"

V shrugged back before looking around at the dark mansion.

"I mean besides the humans... it's nice," She spoke. "Most of the drones are really nice, I've only met a few,"

"They're's not many drones here... but we just recently got more so I'm sure they'll be fun to meet," N replied.

There was an awkward silence between them before N spoke up again, the eeriness making him uneasy.

"What do you do in here all the time away ways?" He asked, looking around at the tell bookshelf's.

"I read, but the words can be quite small so I stick to books with big fonts. Like this one!"

She held up a book about dogs and cats, N looking at it carefully.

" 'Cats and Dogs'?" N asked, looking at the cover.

"Yes! This one is my favorite. I like reading about animals especially these ones. There so unique and cute and..." She talked about the books for a while, N listening carefully. 

Once she stopped, N asked,

"Why cant you read small fonts? Did your vision get damaged back there in the...?"

He didn't want to say anything rude so he let her finish the sentence herself.

"Oh, uh... yeah I guess. Tessas' tried to fix it but.. nothing has really worked so far," V responded, looking at the book and stimmingly fripping through the pages.

"I think I might have an idea," N said, "I'll be right back," 

He ran off, out of the library to look for whatever he was on about, leaving V waiting in the library waiting for him.

As he was gone, V held to book in one hand, bringing the empty one to her face. She looked at it with ease before summoning an odd symbol. It floated in her hand as she stared at it.

She brought it in front of her, it not doing much. She glanced at the book in hand before it lifted up, floating in front of her.

She looked at it in awe, not expecting nor making this happen. She would wave her hand and the book would glide over there. She laughed at it, amazed by her ability before the door opened abruptly, the book falling out of her grasp.

"I'm back! I got you a little something too," He said, walking up to V with something in hand.

V picked the book up once more before getting up and glancing at what N had in his hands.

It was a pair of old glasses, the lenses circular and slightly cracked.

"Here," N spoke, lining the glasses up properly before pushing them onto her visor.

She squinted her eyes as he did this, her vision adjusting. 

She looked around the library, then at her book, the words almost magnified. 

She gasped, amazing by how she could finally read it.

"Nate... I can read!!!" She said joyfully, dropping the book and hugging him tightly. She spun him around a few times before letting go and grabbing the book once more.

She sat down on the floor before opening the book. N smiled at her, sitting down next to her.

She began to read, the words sounding as if they had life, color, and vibrancy to them, though if he just read them off the paper, they would have sounded plain and dull.

She tripped over words further more into the book, it being the name of a dog.

"This ones cute but... I'm not sure how to say it's name... kayyy- shond..?" She attempted to sound it out.

"Let me see it," N offered, V handing him the book.

"Keeshond? Awww their adorable," N spoke, giving the book back to V before she leading on his shoulder to look at the pictures.

N beamed and started reading the rest of it as V made small comments in between.

This was only the beginning.
