N woke up suddenly, the light shining in from the big window of the library.

He squinted, his breathing heavy for some unknown reason.

He got up from the wooden floors and propped himself against the library's bookshelf, hyperventilating.

What is happening? Why am I out of breath? He asked himself.

He looked over at V, who was still standing there. She looked pretty in the sun, her hair glowing and her visor, being slightly dusty, reflected light from the sun.

Her presence seemed to calm N down a bit.

The memories of last night replayed through his head as a way drones power on.

He remembered drawing and then being called out to the hallway.

ERROR 404 - MEMORY NOT FOUND

A face of confusion struck N, before lighting tapping his head in an attempt to get the memory back.

Nothing worked the harder he hit himself.

He soon gave up, accepting the fact that he couldn't always remember everything, knowing it was probably because nothing really did happen last night.

He got up from the floor and brushed off his legs, even though nothing was there.

It felt odd sleeping in the library alone. He didn't mean to sleep there ever, except if it was with V.

He slept in Tessa's room, which if last night was so boring that he couldn't remember, why hadn't anyone taken him up to her room?

Why did he stay down there?

He decided not to think about it and walked over to V.

It was Gala Day.

The day they would be thrown out.

The day Cyn would hopefully break through.

"Hey Val... It's- it's the day..." He spoke anxiously.

"Just know, if you're leaving, I am too. I love you so much even if you can't hear me,"

He touched V's hand, cupping it slightly before dropping it back down.

Suddenly, the door behind N bursted open.

"Hey moron, we gotta get this house clean for the Gala. NOW." J ordered, looking at him in the eyes. "And quit flirting with her, she can't hear you,"

"I AM NOT FLIRTING? Also she can hear me," N responded quickly, trying to snap back at J. He looked at V again, sadness tainting his eyes as he remembered what was going to be done today.

"N- or.. Nate, I- We aren't letting you be thrown out if that makes you feel better. Tessa and I worked it out and you are able to say," J reasoned with him, tears filling his eyes.

"but I promised if she goes I go.." N cried lightly, looking at Vs feet.

"Well-"

J didn't know how to respond to this, not wanting to make him upset again.

"after the gala... and everything, we have a proposal to make, Nate,"

N looked up at her, his eyes sad and tired.

The silence filled the room, dust dancing around in the sun as they looked at eachother.

J closed the door behind her as walked over towards N.

"Please, do not get upset. I- I really still want you and Valerie around. You two are my best friends, I mean besides Tessa..."

N smirked at her mentioning Tessa, making J blush out of embarrassment.
