Each day N would read to V. Every hour would be a new book. He wanted her to read each book he though she would enjoy in the library before it was too late. This normally consisted of dogs and cat, mice and animals, anything related to that.

A new drone who would cause messes everywhere they went, Cyn, had just been found by Tessa to replace V when she does.

Tessa encouraged N to talk to Cyn and learn to love her as much as he loved V or at least half of that, though nothing happened.

"Comon Nate, Cyns a good drone... she may cause messes but... I know she likes you in a brother-sister way," Tessa asked, her arms in a praying formation.

"Tessa.. I already told you I- I don't like Cyn.. there something about her that just... I don't know,"

"Nate I went into that dump to get her for you-" Tessa started, before N interrupted her.

"TESSA PLEASE."

Tessa was then silent. Even though N was one of her drones and had to follow her orders, she didn't want him to be. She knew the pain he was going through already.

"im sorry." N spoke softly. "I just- really need to be with V right now. I have three more days and she's the only thing that makes me happy right now,"

Tessa felt her heart sink, N felt as if we were to throw up.

"I'm sorry Tessa," N stated again, before walking off to the library.

He walked up to V, looked at her blinking visor.

"Valerie?" He asked, tears attempting to escape his eyes.

"Please come back. I need you. I miss you. I miss you so much...." He trailed off.

"I miss your touch, your laugh, your love for animals, your love for people, your lips, your smile... I miss you," He pauses, the tears wining.

"please- please come back Valerie.." N fell onto his knees, unable to keep himself standing anymore, crying in front of V, her expression blank.

His wails sounded throughout the library, his mechanical tears flowing down his visor abruptly. He screamed and yelled for her to come back. He was desperate.

Anger soon came after sadness, his walking turning into stomps as he walked over to the bookshelf. He pulled books out suddenly and throwing them onto the floor, the books sprawling out in all directions. Yanking books off of the shelves and tossing them violently onto the floor till the bookshelf was almost empty. He picked up her favorite book, the book he helped give her that one day.

He looked at it, his tears salty and bittersweet, remembering how they used to read it. He wasn't able to throw it however, something stopping him. He just dropped it onto the floor and looked up at the ceiling, unable to look down at it without crying. He fell forward on his knees again, books surrounding his small drone figure. He put his hands in his face, crying softly into them.

"N?" a voice called. He shot up, scared. The name rang through his ears before he looked behind him.

It was Cyn, standing lopsided.

"Cyn..?  I'm... uh a little busy," N spoke, his words trembling as he picked up the books. If anyone saw his tantrum mess, they would send him away too.

"N, whats with the huge mess?" She spoke, her robotic voice sounding uneasy to N.

"Please don't call me that,"

"What name would you prefer?"

"Nathaniel or Nate for short,"

"Ok 'Nathaniel or Nate for short', whats with the mess?"

N scoffed, he knew she genuinely didn't understand the concept of names or really anything though it still bugged him.

Cyn spoke more, N trying to pick up books and shove them back onto the shelves neatly while ignoring her.

He didn't want to hurt Cyn's feelings, though he didn't feel like talking. But N bolted up when he heard her say something he didn't expect, something that caught onto his ear like nothing else could.

"I could bring V back," She spoke, N looking at her with a goofy stance.

"w-what?" He stuttered, letting out a breath of air.

"I could bring her back, though I would need 3 days," She spoke, no expression, just talking as she propped her head up right again.

3 days would be the time she would leave, making N accept it without a choice.

Thought N never trusted Cyn, and ever since she arrived drones had been displaying X's and errors on their faces, N was desperate.

"I will begin work tomorrow-" Cyn spoke, turning around to leave before N interrupted her.

"Wait! Cyn... is it possible you could have her running perhaps... tomorrow?" He asked, running after her and grabbing her arm.

"It would cost you, Nathaniel or Nate for short," She spoke.

"How much?"

"A few lives,"

"Deal."

Cyn was obviously exaggerating. If she thought of him as a brother, she would be and therefore do it for free, just making a joke as someone would.

But something didn't feel right with him. Nothing ever did with Cyn.

Though he needed V.

He needed her.

And we would do anything

Anything.

To bring her back.
