Chay stilled, almost as a statue, his breathing barely noticeable even to someone as close as Kim stood. Then Kim realised how the words had come out and mentally cursed himself, normally he had a great talent with words, where was this complete ineptitude coming from.

'No....no Chay!' He exclaimed loud enough that he even surprised himself. Thankful the studio was soundproof and no one could hear him making a complete fool out of himself. 'I meant that I need you to pretend to date me!'

'Pretend?' Chay spoke slowly, as if coming out of some kind of trance. 'Pretend as in fake? You want me to be your fake boyfriend?...........why?'

That was an honest question, and one Kim had known would be asked at some point. All he could do to explain the, quite frankly, stupidity of the situation was to start to explain from the beginning. As Kim explained, he noticed Chay relax a little, his grip on Kim's jacket softened and then fell away completely, his eyes lost that far away look and instead gained one of intense concentration. As Kim wound his story down, Chay simply nodded his head quietly as if taking in all the information.

'That sounds like the kind of problem only someone as famous as you would have!' Chay muttered, a hint of humour in his voice.

Kim just grunted. After all Chay wasn't wrong! Kim had left his family to try and get away from being controlled only to walk straight into a very different, more subtle, but just as restrictive type of control. It had literally been a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire. Kim stayed silent allowing Chay to digest what had been said, watching the younger man nod quietly at times while he obviously thought through things. Eventually though Chay raised his eyes back to look at Kim, determination almost blazing in them.

'If I said yes......what would it include?' He asked.

Kim stared.

Most people would jump at the chance of being WIK's boyfriend, even if just a fake one, and yet here Chay was saying IF. Kim was starting to realise that maybe the younger man was more mature in some ways than he thought, leading his mind to wonder down the path of if Chay was this mentally mature then was he wrong in thinking that was physically......? Oh stop thinking with your dick Kim and focus.....he chided himself before taking a breath and actually answering the question.

'It wouldn't interfere with your university work, or at least as little as I could manage. Everyone would know you were a university student so wouldn't expect to see a lot of you. However there would be times when we would need to attend things together and........' He stalled trying to find the right words. 'you would need to let me hold your hand, hug you and even maybe occasionally kiss you......would you be ok with that?'

Part of Kim wanted Chay to say that NO he wouldn't be fine and rescind his offer for help. It would mean the two wouldn't see each other very often, as they couldn't possibly go back to being mentor and mentee after this conversation, but at least Kim wouldn't have to worry about shoving his tongue down the others throat in what was supposed to be a chaste kiss for a camera, or grabbing his ass as an extremely unsubtle claim of possessiveness as soon as anyone stepped too close. Instead Chay simply nodded, again as if working something out, his hand once again reaching to rest on Kim's jacketed arm.

'I will be OK with that ........as long as I can finish my studies I can do that!......and I understand why you asked me, but Kim........do you really want to pretend? Why don't you find someone you really love?'

Kim's head exploded. He couldn't take it anymore. Chay was still worried about him, even with everything he was asking him to do. This would impact Chay's whole young life. For years Chay would be known as nothing WIK's boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend when the charade ended, yet instead of worrying about himself Chay worried about HIM! And he couldn't' tell Chay the truth or the boy would take off running for the hills.
