Since Chay's appearance at the airport the rumours about WIK had lessened, although not disappeared. This of course was helped greatly by a lot of the new photos showing the completely stunned Kim following behind Chay like a whipped puppy. Arguments where made that with WIK acting like the passive one in the relationship, he couldn't possibly be guilty of all the things he had been accused of. Other arguments were made that just because he had behaved like that in public didn't mean that his younger boyfriend wasn't scared and threatened by the star in private. The debate still raged, but at least it was a debate now instead of an all-out character assassination.

Kim had woken up, after an unheard of twelve hours of sleep, in his own bed, with no memory of ever getting out the car. He recalled Chay appearing at the airport and Nile thanking him, which now Kim had slept he was able to make the simple deduction that Nile had actually been the one to call Chay over. But if Chay really was scared of him and didn't like him why had he come? His thoughts had still been all over the place. When he had woken Chay had been sat in the living room, working on some university project, with clear signs that the younger man had slept over on the couch. However, as soon as Kim emerged from his room Chay had made some excuse about going to the library and vanished out the door before Kim could really get his mind to function properly.

Luckily, or unluckily, for both Kim and Chay, their schedules were still keeping them both busy. Kim might be home in Bangkok but he still had interviews, fan meets and of course his new single to write. Chay meanwhile was heading into his final year of university and would have even less downtime time than normal.

They may as well have been on separate sides of the planet.

This however didn't mean the two didn't see each other. Chay went out of his way to come to Kim's apartment at least once a week and stay for a few hours before leaving, with Kim insisting that his driver took Chay home instead of the other paying for a taxi all the time. In these few hours the two had alone together neither of them had spoken about what had happened that night, and despite Kim often being aroused when Chay was around, he didn't get closer to the younger man than was properly polite. Of course as soon as Chay left, this meant Kim was straight in a freezing cold shower, taking himself in hand, but at least he managed to keep himself in check this time. The relationship had changed, both of them had recognised that. They could laugh and joke with each other once again, could share a meal and watch a movie in companionable silence, but couldn't make physical contact. As soon as Kim would even brush a hand accidently against Chay's leg, or reach to brush crumbs of the others mouth, Chay would stiffen up and retreat.

The only exception to this was the twice Chay had turned up to some red-carpet appearances Kim had been part of, he had been the star of neither, simply been one of many faces making up the numbers. The first one was a movie launch to which Kim had written the OST, the movie had taken that long to be released he had actually forgotten it existed, but when they invited him to the launch he found he couldn't refuse. At Nile's insistence he had invited Chay to accompany him, and been surprised when the other had accepted. Both of them had arrived in tuxedo's, Chay not refusing when Kim offered his arm, and walked up the carpet in silence. As they approached the press stationed just before the entrance, Chay had only frozen for a moment before stepping to Kim's side as he answered all the questions posed to him.

The second appearance had been a few weeks after the first, at the Bangkok music awards. Again Chay had worn a tuxedo and politely followed Kim's lead up the red carpet, smiling all the way and not avoiding the light touches Kim applied. It was almost as if the reaction the younger man had in private to Kim's touches didn't exist, as if he was perfectly comfortable having Kim's arm around his waist once more. That was until the appearance ended and Chay would, once again, flinch away from him as if electrocuted. Those two appearances had confused Kim for a few days until he had realised what they had in common. WIK! On both occasions Chay had been in public with WIK, not in private with Kim! Although Kim himself had never understood why people thought of his public persona as a person all on its own, it seemed that Chay did, and WIK was the one he was comfortable with, the one he was in love with. Not Kim!
