Lost in Lies

Chapter 1

For once it wasn't the blare of the alarm that woke him, or someone loudly banging on the door of his room because he had 'accidentally' thrown his phone at the wall to shut it up! No, today it was the simple rays of the morning sun, seeping through the gaps of the heavy curtains that seemed to signal his body it was time to awaken. Squinting at the rays of light making strange patterns on the room floor, Kim just squeezed his eyes closed once more and tried very hard to go back to sleep. Nile had said they would 'speak' today, and any idiot knew that the word was code for 'a conversation you didn't want to have this lifetime'. The two men were flying back to Bangkok today as his Asian tour had been completed, so in theory he could stay in bed all morning, getting up in time to have some breakfast, shower and get to the airport without too much fuss. For once in his life, he could have a relaxed morning with no stress and worry, just catching up on some well needed sleep.

Well, that was the theory.

Just as he closed his eyes again, deepened his breathing and felt himself drifting back into the world of imagination, a world he much preferred to reality. A loud knock on the door made his eyes snap open.

'Kim.......' Came Nile's voice from the other side of the door.

Kim groaned inwardly but turned his head further into the pillow, determined not to open the door and let the other man inside. The lack of response though, just seemed to make the knocking louder.

'Kim, I know you're awake. You don't sleep this late unless your dead! Open the door or I get someone to do it for me!'

Ugh so much for theory!

Kim thought to himself as he dragged himself out of bed with an almost inaudible grumble, tugged of a pair of jogging bottoms and a tank top before walking over to the door. The door was only halfway open when Nile ushered his way inside, making Kim stagger backwards, obviously still not awake enough for his body to function properly.

'Ahh so you are still alive then!' Nile spoke up, with an annoyingly chirpy voice for...........whatever time it actually was.

'Piss off!' Kim muttered as he shut the door behind his manager and ambled down the hall into the small sitting room.

'You thought you could hide away from me this morning, didn't you?' Nile grinned brightly as he made himself at home on one of the lounge seats.

'Fuck you' Kim growled in response, a little annoyed at the fact that Nile seemed to have the ability to see though him.

After all he wasn't hiding.........he was simply sleeping.........not hiding!

'Yeah, that's what we need to talk about!'

Kim almost tripped over his own feet as he came to an emergency stop in the middle of the room.

He couldn't help staring at his manager, the words tripping over in his head, refusing to make sense no matter what orientation his mind put them in. Nile was speaking in such a serious tone, so he knew this wasn't one of those weird jokes that the man seemed to find hilarious despite no one else finding them not remotely amusing, so what could it be? After what seemed like hours, but was in fact seconds, Kim raised his hand in the air as if warding off something and spoke in a voice filled with complete disbelief.

'You want to talk about fucking you?'

Nile laughed, loudly, almost losing his breath a few times, before he managed to gain back some control. Kim just rolled his eyes, thinking it was way to early for this shit!

'Noooo.....not us, that would be too odd wouldn't it.......' Nile's voice suddenly dropped off and a strange look came over his features. Kim knew that look all to well and had to hold back the shiver of ......oh shit, what's he going to do now?.......that ran up his spine. When Nile had this assessing, contemplative look on his face it meant the other man saw zero's and one's, problems and solutions....not humans. In some ways this look on Nile's face reminded him of himself, a scary idea when the look was aimed directly at HIM. 'But that idea might solve some of the problems.' Nile nodded to himself as if he had just solved a mathematical equation.
