You knew how your sister felt towards her old roommate, the two having a short fling because Eddie was a man whore, and she was trying to get over her ex-Ray. Jane would always speak about him so cautiously until they became best friends. Eventually, her opinion had changed of him, she explained to you that he wasn't a player;that he was just waiting for the right person and using women to get over the heartbreak he felt for his ex. That immediately made you feel better about him, but then you met him.

Eddie was tall, he had pretty eyes and good hair. You don't know how he went from this annoying asshole that Jane could barely stand to someone she confines in and then tries set you up with him. Because the moment you saw him Jane knew you were attracted to him, you struggle to look over at Eddie and you let out an awkward laugh when whatever he said wasn't actually funny. He'd give you an amused smile, his eyebrow shooting up as he leant against the doorframe, you'd feel a little blush bloom on your cheeks.

"Well, Y/n if you keep blushing around me I'm gonna think you have a crush on me or somethin." He commented, which made you let out a squeak as your body completely flushed with embarrassment.

"I-um I think I hear my phone ringing-?" You questioned, to yourself unable to remove your eyes from Eddie's. His green eyes stared right back at you, before your eyes go to the smirk on his face.

"I don't hear-." Jane started, her fist in front of her mouth as she tried not to laugh at your obvious crush. You turned around before scurrying away, shame weighing heavily on your chest.

You were nothing like Jane, but Jane was like the women Eddie would sleep with, thin, beautiful, just the right amount of weird to be charming and enough normal to be accepted. But you pushed the limits, made people look at you like you were some kinds of animal in a zoo. That's what if felt like with Eddie, he was smiling because he found you endearing, you were like a clumsy panda, unable to keep your balance but endearing because you looked stupid.

Now you sat with Jane and Jane's best friend, Liz, talking over a cup of coffee, talking about their love lives. It always seemed we couldn't be on the same page, if Jane's love life was going seemingly well Liz wasn't and vice versa. Meanwhile, you didn't even have a love life, nose deep into romance novels and fantasizing about fictional men, or after you met Eddie, your dream man usually consisted of him.

But you truly didn't think anything of it, your crush just was what it was. You didn't think that Eddie cared and then you came over to look at Jane's room. She was going to move out and Eddie needed a new roommate. You were sad that your sister was moving to Philadelphia, but Jane teased you about the underlying excitement you withheld from everyone but her, Liz and Alice, your sister.

You thought that it was going to Jane, who was going to show you around, but it wound up being Eddie. When you knocked, he opened the door, grinning over at you, "Hey, Mouse." He grinned, teasing you and you gritted your teeth as you felt a heat on your cheeks.

"Um, where's Jane?" You asked, swallowing the lump in your throat, you wished you didn't get so nervous, but your heart beat rushing in your ears.

"She got held up at work, saying goodbye to everyone."

"Oh." You nodded, as he moved back his arm going out for you to come in. You gave him a wobbly smile as you walked in, before sliding off your shoes.

"You want a beer?"

"Uh, no actually I have edibles." You announced, pulling out the ziplock out of your bag. "Made em' last night."

"Didn't know you were a stoner." Eddie commented as you rolled your eyes.

"So you don't want any?" You asked, pulling it out of the baggy and bringing it up to your mouth and taking a bite, you giggled when you thought about the story Jane told you about him getting turned off by a girl eating ice cream. "Is this unattractive?" You questioned, a seriousness coming over your face, Eddie leant against the counter, tugging the bag over to him and taking one out.

"I mean, I don't find it thrilling if that's what your asking." Eddie replied, lightly glaring over at you as he took a bite. "Why do you care?"

"I-I don't. I just-I was trying to make a joke, Jane told me about that girl and the ice cream." You said, your hand moving in the air for emphasis as his head tipped back and he groaned.

"God it wasn't about the ice cream. She was just messy and unsanitary."

"Didn't know you were a clean freak." You blurted, starting to feel comfortable your guard started to lower and sometimes your nervousness made your filter non-existent.

"It's also about the fact that she didn't offer me any."

"Oh okay, so if I didn't give you any I'd be a selfish pig?" You deadpanned, and his mouth dropped open as you started laughing.

"I don't think of you like that." Eddie clarified, but his words just made you confused.

"Well I don't think about you either." You retorted.

Eddie snorted as he chewed some of the brownie in his mouth, talking with a mouthful, you cringed, "Well, I do."

"I was um joking I mean I know you so obviously you would cross my mind from time to time." You assured. "And please wait to talk until you chew your food, it's gross."

"Oh now do you think I'm unattractive."

"No." You squeaked, your eyes shutting as you winced, while Eddie just chuckled. "Why um don't we go on the tour?"

"Oh yeah sure." Eddie nodded, as you both finished the brownies before he led you to Jane's bedroom, you paused at the hole in the wall.

"Wh-?"

"When my uh, my ex moved out I put an axe to the wall." Eddie said, his hand coming up to the back of his head.

"Damn." You mumbled, glancing over at his arms for a second before looking back at him, he had that shit-eating grin on his face. He showed you around your sister's, soon to be your room.

"You know your beautiful."

"W-what are you-?" You stuttered, your eyes darting away from his. Eddie moves in closer, his hand reaching out to tuck your hair behind your ear, his green eyes flickering back forth from each of your eyes. "I can't." You shake your head, moving back and darting your eyes away.

"Why not?"

"I can't do casual." You replied, you glance back over him to see confusion written over his face, his eyebrows pinched together and the sides of his eyes crinkling in anger.

"Who said I wanted casual?" You laughed at his reply, shaking your head as you went to move further away. But his reached out for yoru wrist and lightly tugged you back to him. "I like you and you like me, let's give this a shot, what do we gotta lose?"

"Everything." You murmured, glancing up at him
