After everything went down, Stanley got the hell out of dodge, grabbing a few things, money and Judas, his dog. He was off towards Holly's grandparents, after his ex rarely took care of her, it was you, her best friend who stepped up from the very beginning when she and Stanley couldn't be responsible. But things had changed, he was going to everything he could to get her back, meanwhile his ex was still useless. He remembers the last time he saw you and Holly, it was right after he'd gotten his first influx of cash.

"Hi, Holls, whatta doing out here?" You asked, as you walked towards her. She grinned over at you, because you didn't only take care of her, but you were her teacher this year. She looked up to you from the very beginning.

"I-I can't get a hold of mom and I don't have dad's number." Holly sighed, looking down at her phone as you moved over to her, reaching towards the phone with a smile.

You tried not to think of the last time you saw Stanley...Nevertheless you type in his phone number before handing her the green cell. Looking up to see the handsome stranger walking towards you. "Stanley." You greeted.

"Y/n."

"Need a lift, kiddo?" Stanley asked, stuffed animal in his hands as Holly got off the merry-go-round darting towards her dad as he kneeled down accepting her into his arms. You smiled over at him, trying not to feel all of those old feelings welling up in your chest.

You went to high school with both Stanley and Melissa, his ex. You watched the two dance back and forth for years until she got pregnant. The two were only twenty when they had her, you had known a lot about children from babysitting in middle school and high school. So you knew how to take care of her and you showed both of them, though from the beginning Melissa would run off to god knows where. You would wound up alone with Stanley, nothing ever happening between the two of you. But your festering crush you've had on him since junior year didn't go away, only grew as you watched him try his best to be a father.

"I missed you so much." Holly breathed, exasperated as Stanley's hands went to elbows as he gave her a heartbreaking smile. So many emotions flitted in his eyes as he gazed at his daughter, you felt a change.

"Oh I missed you too." Stanley replied, scooping her back up into a tight hug. "Here I got you something..."

"Oh, my gosh. This is so cute." Holly grinned, looking down at the toy as Stanley finally took his eyes off of his daughter and over to you, someone whose relationship he couldn't explain.

Because they'd never hooked up, or kissed in the decade that they've known each other. But from the very beginning, he knew on his side, that he had feelings for you, something he couldn't quite explain. You were nothing like Melissa, who was reckless, flunked off, and got pregnant. Meanwhile, you weren't the academic type, but you tried your best in school, and you always seemed to put yourself on the sidelines. Something he never understood, but you'd naturally shine, because when Melissawas gone, you were there consistently for a long time. You never got into the shady shit that he had gotten himself into. At first you'd been angry at him for fucking up in the way he had, but he always knew he was too smart for his own good.

"Oh, if mom sees you here-." She started to panic, as you gave the girl a soft look.

Stanley's hand came to sooth at her arm as he spoke, "It's okay, baby. It's ok. You want a lift home?"

"Of course I do!" She chirped, as she glanced back over at you. "He can take you home too!"

"Oh I can now?" Stanley joked, raising an eyebrow as you blushed lightly, looking down. His eyes scanned your face, your rosey pale completion reminded him of snow white, with the contrast of your black hair.
