(Indeed, mankind was created anxious)

[70:19]

In the solitude of the silent tranquility of the library, she sat immersed in her device, going through her latest received email, which created a symphonic and calm aura that engulfed her, making the chaos and people vanish out of her sight.

The end corner of her hijab, which lay atop, covering her head and neck, fluttered due to the blowing gentle breeze, distracting her. She stopped skimming her fingers on the keyboard to catch the drape and pulled it behind her shoulder.

She squinted her eyes, her focus streamlined, fingers rolling over the mouse. The frown on her lips and the dimple formed in between her eyebrows are enough to guess her uncertainty.

She got the answer from one of the best science firms where she had applied for her internship.

It states, "Sorry to inform you, Miss Ayse Gul, your request for the internship is rejected because your qualifications don't match our needs. Perhaps you can try next time."

She took a deep breath, her shoulder slouched down, and she closed the tab.

She had been working on this project for a very long time even before landing in this European city since she had been in Egypt, assignments after assignments, doing internships at her old school in Egypt.

After leaving Turkey at the age of 21, she had everything: a happy family, a loving mother, a sweet little sister and caring uncle, and lots of wealth. But she still wanted to do something on her own rather than getting dependent on her hereditary wealth.

Now sitting in her university library, she is contemplating what her next act is going to be.

After all, she really doesn't want to waste her one-month vacation doing nothing. Whether she should apply somewhere else or again go through her LinkedIn timeline to see which one of these firms is in her best interest.

Lost in her musing, she didn't realize the seat beside her was already occupied by someone who's enjoying seeing her battle her own thoughts.

The person then decided to have mercy on her and cleared her throat, making Ayse jump on her seat with a shrill.

"What are you doing here?" she shot sharply.

"Just came to check up on my workaholic sister," Baharay shrugged her shoulder, eliciting an eye roll from Ayse.

"You done with classes?" Ayse eyed her sister questioningly.

"Ugh, not again, Ayse—," Baharay huffed air while opening her own Mac. "—Besides, I came here to inform you to be free this weekend; don't get indulged in some new activity."

"Neden?" (Why)

"I know my sister," Baharay shrugged and glanced at her while typing her password on her MacBook.

"I asked why you want me to be free on weekends." Ayse pointed out.

"Ooh that, remember last Sunday, I told you about book promotion day of one of my favorite authors? It's happening next weekend, and you're accompanying me."

"Her neyse" (Whatever), Ayse rolled her eyes suddenly, her eyes caught a glimpse outside the window, a red-haired girl who's sitting idly on a bench eating cotton candy. But that's not what took her attention; rather, her red-long maxi she was wearing. The girl had red hair, but still she wore red, looking like a red chili on the campus of London University. She had amused her.
