in the mirror, i see a face,
worn by time in such a short space.
sixteen years and shadows cast,
over moments that slipped too fast.

lifes a maze, i stumble and fall,
the walls too high, too thick, too tall.
dreams like whispers fade away,
in a world where the night swallows the day.

voices loud, but im unheard,
drowning in every spoken word.
tears that fall, unseen, unknown,
a girl in a crowd, yet all alone.

but deep inside, a spark remains,
a tiny flicker through the pains.
maybe one day, the light will grow,
and lead me to where the flowers grow.
