grief is a shadow that never lets go,
a weight on the heart, an unending woe.
it whispers in silence, it lingers in tears,
a ghost of the past that haunts all the years.

it gnaws at the edges of what once was bright,
turns daylight to dusk, and steals the night.
it burrows deep down, in places unseen,
twisting the soul, unraveling the dream.

the laughter fades, the colors drain,
all that remains is the echo of pain.
the world moves on, but you stay still,
frozen in time, against your will.

the memories come like waves in a storm,
relentless and cold, they change their form.
one moment theyre warm, like a soft embrace,
the next, theyre a knife, leaving no trace.

it eats you alive from the inside out,
filling your mind with anguish and doubt.
and as you fall into the abyss,
you long for the touch of what you miss.

grief is a hunger that cant be fed,
a part of you dies, yet youre not dead.
you walk through life as a hollowed shell,
carrying your own private hell.
