in childhoods grasp, where dreams should bloom,
i lived instead in shadowed gloom.
a world where innocence was torn,
and in its place, the scars were born.

i remember nights, the silent screams,
the shattered trust, the stolen dreams.
a touch that burned, a whispered lie,
left me hollow, too numb to cry.

the years have passed, but pain remains,
etched in my soul like endless chains.
i bury it deep, but it wont fade,
the memories of the price i paid.

the laughter of a child, so rare,
replaced by fear that none could share.
in every glance, i felt the blame,
a hidden guilt, a constant shame.

now grown, but still the past wont rest,
a heavy weight upon my chest.
the trauma lingers, shadows stay,
in a heart that never found its way.
