The morning sun streamed through Anjali's window, illuminating her room in a warm glow. She stretched, a smile still playing on her lips as she recalled the previous night's sweet moments with Aryan. Just as she was about to grab her phone, a notification popped up—Aryan had messaged her.

Aryan: Good morning, Bun! Hope you had sweet dreams! Can't wait to see you later!

Her heart fluttered as she typed a quick reply, excitement bubbling within her.

Meanwhile, Aryan was engrossed in his work when the landline rang. He picked up the receiver, his tone brisk. "Yes?"

"Sir, someone named Tanishka is here. She wants to meet you," the receptionist replied.

"Send her in," he responded, his voice maintaining its usual cold edge.

A moment later, the sound of heels echoed in his cabin as the door swung open. Aryan didn't bother looking up as he asked, "What brings you here, Tanu?"

Tanishka, who had taken a seat across from him, adjusted her posture and replied,

"I wanted to talk to you." She took a breath, her expression serious. "I'm really sorry about that night. I didn't mean to spill my feelings like that. It just... happened."

He finally looked up from his work, his expression neutral. "It's okay," he said flatly.

"No, it's not. I really felt bad about it. But, never mind," she forced a smile, which didn't quite reach her eyes.

"I'm actually happy for you that you have a girlfriend now."

Aryan's gaze hardened slightly.

"It's okay, Tanu. I don't want you to feel bad. But I also want to be clear—I don't have feelings for you."

Her fake smile faltered as she absorbed his words, her heart sinking.

"I understand," she said, trying to keep her composure. "I just thought we had something special..."

Aryan leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "We're friends, Tanu. I need you to respect my boundaries."

She looked at him, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "You don't have to be so cold about it, Aryan. I just wanted to be honest."

"I respect that, but I want to make one thing clear: my first priority is Anjali. Her happiness is what matters most to me. If anyone tries to hurt her feelings or ruin her happiness, I won't care if that person is a close friend or anyone else—I will make sure they regret it."

anishka's fists tightened, a wave of jealousy washing over her.

"And yeah, I proposed to her yesterday. She's not just my girlfriend anymore; she's soon to be Mrs. Aryan Taneja," Aryan declared, with a proud face.
