The mansion sparkled as the beautiful lady Mrs. Jeon was bustling about the kitchen, her voice ringing out like a siren calling her wayward seven-year old son.
"Jeon Jungkook, how dare you skip school today and then dare to play all day, huh? You said you were sick! Now where did your sickness go as soon as you got your phone?" she scolded, hands on her hips, casting a disapproving glance at her son sprawled on the couch.
"Oh god, from when will you be a bit more responsible? Can't you focus on your studies? Why do you hate school so much? Lately, you've been doing too much of this nonsense only because your dad spoils you too much! That's why you are like this!"
She shouted instantly, the volume raising enough to attract the attention of Mr. Jeon, who panicked at the sound of his wife's voice.
"You brat, why do I get scolded for you always?" Mr. Jeon looked up from his newspaper, glaring at his son.
Jungkook rolled his eyes playfully, continuing to tap furiously on his game controller, completely unfazed by his mother's tirade.
"I can't with you! Can't you be like your brother just once, huh? Look how well he is doing! He woke up by himself and went to school like such a good boy. He'll be back anytime, probably with a medal for being the best son!"
Mrs. Jeon's voice was a blend of exasperation and affection, a common melody in their household.
"You brat, I'm not listening to your whines from tomorrow. No matter how your head aches or your stomach hurts, you will still go to school! And wait... since you didn't go to school, couldn't you at least study at home or clean your room? You didn't even do that! Your bed is stuck with toys and comics! Go clean it!"
She continued her rant, her tone rising and falling like a rollercoaster.
It was nothing new-every mom had their moments of frustration, and Jungkook was used to it. He laid lazily on the couch, grinning as he immersed himself in his game, letting the familiar sound of his mother's complaints wash over him.
"Anyway, Tae said he's bringing a friend today. Why don't you make snacks for them and stop whining already?" Mr. Jeon interjected, trying to calm his beloved wife down.
"Of course, of course, now my words sound like shouting to both father and son," Mrs. Jeon huffed, shooting them both an incredulous look.
Jungkook glanced at his dad, stifling a laugh. "Yeah, Dad, why don't you bake some cookies while you're at it? I'm sure they'll be much better than Mom's burnt ones!"
"Hey!" Mrs. Jeon protested, a mock glare aimed at Jungkook as her lips curled into a smile, unable to stay mad at her playful son.
Mr. Jeon chuckled, shaking his head. "You two are impossible."
Jungkook settled back into the couch, feeling the warmth of the banter around him, a familiar comfort.
Little did he know that this seemingly ordinary day would soon lead to a fateful encounter, one that would change everything in ways he couldn't yet imagine.
As Mrs. Jeon continued to scold Jungkook, her voice a mix of frustration and concern, the door swung open, revealing her beloved older son, Jeon Taehyung.
"Momma, I'm back!" Taehyung announced, his cheerful voice cutting through the tension.
"Ah, my son!" Mrs. Jeon exclaimed, her mood shifting instantly at the sight of her firstborn.
"Oh, I brought a guest! Jin! Don't be so shy; come in! Mum would love to see you," Taehyung called out, motioning for his friend to step inside.
A moment later, another figure entered the room-a tall, slim boy with shiny hair, dressed in a simple white shirt and ripped jeans, a school bag slung over his shoulder.
