That evening, the entire Jeon family was enamored with Jin, especially Jungkook, though he tried to hide it behind his usual indifference.

As they all sat in the living room chatting, Mrs. Jeon couldn’t take her eyes off Jin, finding him just as charming as her youngest son did, though for different reasons. Jungkook, for his part, sat on the couch pretending to be focused on his game, but his gaze never once left Jin—watching him quietly, drinking in every detail.

Taehyung noticed his mother’s intense admiration and decided to break the moment. “Taehyung, why don’t you show Jin the house?” Mrs. Jeon suggested, unable to stop herself from doting on the polite guest.

“Oh yeah, sure. Jin, follow me,” Taehyung said, standing up and motioning for Jin to follow.

Jin nodded politely, standing up with a bright smile. “Thank you for showing me around, Tae.”

“No prob, my room and my bratty younger brother’s room are side by side,” Taehyung explained as they walked down the hallway. “This one’s mine, and that one is Jungkook’s… though we probably shouldn’t go in there. It’s always messy.”

Jungkook’s ears perked up when he heard this. Messy? He glanced around. Oh no. Without a second thought, he threw his game controller on the couch and bolted toward his room.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeon exchanged shocked looks. “Did he just leave his game like that?” Mrs. Jeon asked in disbelief.

Jungkook stormed into his room and glanced around at the disaster zone that greeted him. Great, he thought, why don’t I ever clean up? He moved quickly, shoving toys, clothes, and random objects back into place. Within minutes, the room was somewhat presentable—at least enough that he wasn’t embarrassed by it anymore.

Feeling somewhat accomplished, Jungkook crept toward his brother’s room, where Taehyung and Jin were sitting and talking casually. He peeked through the slightly open door, his heart pounding when he saw them sitting together. He couldn’t help but watch, curiosity and something deeper pulling him in.

Jin noticed Jungkook’s small figure standing by the door and smiled warmly. “Oh, Jungkook! What are you doing over there? Come in!”

Taehyung raised an eyebrow at his brother’s odd behavior. “Since when do you need permission to enter? You usually just barge in without a second thought.” He was puzzled by Jungkook’s sudden calmness and silence. His troublemaker of a brother was never this… composed.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment before stepping inside, his gaze flickering between his brother and Jin. Before he could say anything, Jin reached out and pulled him closer, causing Jungkook’s heart to race again. “You’re so cute, I can’t help it… so sorry in advance,” Jin said, his tone teasing but filled with warmth.

Before Jungkook could process what Jin meant, he felt a gentle tug on his cheek as Jin pulled him into a soft embrace. Jungkook’s eyes widened in shock. He wasn’t used to this. What’s happening?

His heart raced as Jin’s arms wrapped around him, pulling him close. Jungkook’s face pressed against Jin’s chest, and for the first time, he could feel Jin’s warmth, his soft scent filling his senses. Jin’s hand rested on his back, patting him gently. “You’re so small and cute, like a bunny,” Jin chuckled softly, causing Jungkook’s breath to hitch. “I can’t help hugging you—it just feels good. I hope we can get closer.”

Jungkook remained frozen in place, his mind spinning in a thousand directions. Normally, he hated it when people got too physical with him—he never liked hugs or being touched. But this… this was different. He didn’t want to pull away. The warmth from Jin’s embrace seeped into his bones, filling him with something unfamiliar—something safe.
