As much as both Jungkook and Mrs. Jeon wanted Jin to stay longer, he eventually had to leave. Jin smiled politely as he bid his goodbyes to everyone, his soft voice filling the room one last time.
"Please, make this your second home and come whenever and however you like. I will always wait for your visit," Mrs. Jeon said, her tone warm and inviting. Jungkook, who usually rolled his eyes at his mother's enthusiastic nature, found himself nodding silently in agreement. For the first time, he truly wished someone would return.
Jin, feeling the warmth of being so openly welcomed, gave a polite nod and smiled, "I will come for sure." His smile was bright, and it made Jungkook’s heart race as he stood quietly in the background, watching. Taehyung, ever the cheerful older brother, waved at his parents and gestured for Jin to follow as he led the way outside to drop him off.
As the door closed behind Jin and Taehyung, a heavy silence fell over the Jeon household. Both Jungkook and Mrs. Jeon stared at the now-closed door, each lost in their own thoughts. Mrs. Jeon, unable to contain her admiration, sighed dreamily.
"Ahh, he’s so pretty, so adorable, and so humble and polite," she gushed, almost talking to herself. Her eyes sparkled as if she’d just met the most perfect person in the world.
Jungkook, however, stood quietly in the corner, his arms folded as he struggled with an unfamiliar mix of emotions. He nodded absentmindedly, for the first time fully agreeing with his mother. Jin truly was everything she said and more, but what Jungkook felt went beyond admiration. It was something deeper, something he didn't understand yet.
His small hands gripped the fabric of his shirt, and his brows furrowed as he replayed the events of the day in his mind. The warmth of Jin’s embrace still lingered on him, and the sound of his soft, comforting voice echoed in his ears. Jungkook had never experienced anything like this before—this intense need to be near someone, this strange feeling that tugged at his heart.
As Mrs. Jeon continued to sing praises for Jin, Jungkook's mind wandered to a singular thought: When will I see him again? That one question consumed him as he stood there, silent, but feeling so much more than he could express.
His mother glanced at him, her voice breaking his thoughts. "Jungkook, don’t you think Jin is just wonderful?"
Without meeting her eyes, Jungkook nodded again. "Yeah… he is."
Mrs. Jeon smiled, not noticing the internal storm brewing within her youngest son. But Jungkook’s mind was far from calm. The second Jin had left, a hollow feeling settled in his chest. He didn’t like it. He wanted Jin back. He wanted to keep feeling that warmth, that attention, that softness.
He wanted Jin to stay… forever.

.Mrs. Jeon and Mr. Jeon, together with Taehyung, sat at the breakfast table like any other morning, expecting the usual chaos of trying to drag Jungkook out of bed. However, today was different. Mr. Jeon choked on his coffee, sputtering in shock, while Taehyung nearly spilled his glass of milk, staring wide-eyed at the sight in front of them. Mrs. Jeon blinked rapidly, as if trying to confirm what she was seeing.
Standing before them, bright-eyed and dressed neatly in his school uniform, was none other than their youngest son, Jungkook. The same child who needed endless shouting, threats, and sometimes a few well-placed kicks to wake up in the morning. The same Jungkook who came up with a new excuse every day to skip school. Yet here he was, standing at the table, ready and... smiling?
"You’re awake? By yourself?" Mrs. Jeon finally managed to say, disbelief written all over her face. She reached out and pinched her arm, half-expecting this to be some bizarre dream. "Are you... feeling okay, Jungkook?"
