Chapter 2

"Welcome to U.A's hero course." Everyone's nervousness turned into determination. You all went over a series of tests. You did pretty great in all of them. Now came the last test. The softball throw. You were waiting for your turn but you felt like you were being watched. You slowly turn to see who it was. To your surprise, it was the bird boy.

Woah, that's totally not creepy.

You thought to yourself as he stared deep into your eyes. You gave him a nervous smile and a small wave.

You were gonna go up to him but it was your turn to throw the softball. "Sakura, you're up." A monotone voice was heard. After this, it'll be over... for now at least, you thought to yourself. "You got this Niko!" "Yeah, you'll do great!" your new friends gave you words of encouragement.

You made your way to the platform and took a deep breath. "Whenever you're ready." you gave a small nod to your teacher. Just focus, Niko, you got this. You focused your mind on the ball throwing it forward using your Telekinesis to make it fall as far as you could. "481.2" The score shocked you a bit. You knew your Telekinesis had a drawback for not being able to use it in such a huge radius but you didn't know you could shoot something that far using your quirk. Your classmates were also shocked that Telekinesis shouldn't be able to focus on such large areas.

You made your way back to where you were previously. "Looks like you're up now Midoriya. Good luck!" He makes his way to the platform. "See told you you'd do just fine!" you turn to the brunette "Yeah, thanks Uraraka!" You give each other a smile then face forward to watch Midoriya.

As you were watching your teacher scold Midoriya, you get the feeling that someone is watching you again. You turn to once again see Tokoyami staring at you. But his gaze wasn't of disgust or any other emotion. He was just staring blankly.

You decided to approch him. Walking towards him you felt a slight ticklish feeling in your stomach. "Hey" you said.

Damm awkward as fuxk

You noticed how his sharp gaze followed her every move. His stance was as stoic as ever, the dark shadow of Dark Shadow lingering subtly beside him. When you came close enough, he shifted slightly, as if considering whether to retreat into his usual quiet solitude. But instead, he met her eyes, his voice low and contemplative.

"You... noticed me," he began, his tone deliberate but not uncomfortable, "I was simply reflecting on something."

He glanced away for a moment, his expression still mysterious but slightly softened. "Is there something you need? Or... perhaps you too seek the solace of the shadows?"

From my observations I knew this bird guy would likely be formal and thoughtful, potentially a bit awkward in social interactions. However, he'd maintain a calm composure and might hint at deeper philosophical thoughts, given his introspective nature.

He's attractive in his own way. Wait- what are you thinking Niko?! What the hell?!

You mentally scolded yourself thinking about his question 'Seeking solace of the shadows?' He sure is a dark bird. But for some reason you felt dumb for not understanding what he meant by that.

Niko stood in front of Tokoyami, your curiosity piqued by his enigmatic presence. His dark feathers shimmered faintly in the light, and his posture remained composed as always.

"So... what's your name?" you managed to ask, keeping your voice casual yet warm.

Tokoyami blinked, his sharp crimson eyes narrowing slightly, more in thought than surprise. He was used to people being curious about him, but he valued the respect that came with introductions.
