Who would have been in love with someone with a bird head? But then again- it's not just any bird. It's Tokoyami Fumikage.

It had been two weeks since U.A started. It was just a normal day Just then, THE #1 hero came into the class. "I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" the whole class erupted in excitement. Wow, he looks cooler in person, you thought to yourself. "I teach basic hero training. It's a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. Alright, let's get straight to it! Today we will be... COMBAT TRAINING!" your eyes light up and you turn to look at Todoroki who sat at your left as usual. "Woah, doesn't that sound exciting Todoroki-kun?" he slightly turns to look at you. "I suppose." you smile and set your eyes on everyone's hero costumes coming from the wall. Everyone's excitement only grew more and all of them immediately went to the changing room to change into their hero costumes.
This is what Niko looks like in her costume: (Original art created from AI)

(Niko has bows and arrows with her but she only uses it for long range attacks. So she won't use them in this battle) ________
The sound of clashing metal and hurried footsteps echoed through the training facility as Class 1-A gathered for their next exercise. Niko glanced around the group, her pulse quickening with excitement and nerves. It was finally time for the "Battle Trial"—a lesson designed to simulate real-world hero work.
A holographic screen floated above them, displaying the rules: Heroes versus Villains. The villains would guard a mock nuclear weapon inside a building, while the heroes had to either capture them or disarm the weapon. All the while, pro hero All Might stood at the front of the room, explaining the exercise with his booming, enthusiastic voice.
"Remember, students! Communication is key! Heroes must act with precision, and villains must strategize to protect their goal! This is not only a test of your quirks, but of your wits and teamwork!" All Might declared, grinning broadly as he looked over the class.
Niko couldn't help but feel a rush of anticipation. She had no idea who she'd be paired with, but this was her chance to show what she was capable of. Telekinesis was versatile, but she needed to prove she could use it effectively in real combat situations.
"All right, let's see who's up first!" All Might bellowed, pulling out a randomized selection on the screen.
The names flashed one by one, and Niko held her breath as they appeared.
Niko's heart leapt. She'd be working with Midoriya as a hero—great. He was strategic, quick-thinking, and knew how to analyze situations. But Todoroki and Tokoyami on the villain team? That was going to be a tough match. Todoroki's ice and fire control made him a force to be reckoned with, and Tokoyami's Dark Shadow could be overwhelming, especially in confined spaces.
She shot Midoriya a quick glance, and he gave her a determined nod. "Let's do our best, Niko! We can win this if we stick to a plan."
Niko nodded back, though a tinge of nervousness settled in her stomach. She had to stay focused. The moment the match began, they'd be thrust into a tense battle scenario.
All Might clapped his hands, signaling for the teams to prepare. "Heroes, remember, you must either capture the villains or disarm the weapon! Villains, your job is to protect it at all costs!"

Inside the practice building, the tension was thick as the countdown for the match began. Niko and Midoriya stood near the entrance, trying to formulate a plan before the time ran out.
"We know Todoroki going to use the environment to his advantage," Midoriya said quickly, his voice hushed. "He'll probably block off hallways with ice to slow us down. And Tokoyami... Dark Shadow is stronger in darkness, so we'll have to stay in well-lit areas if we want to avoid a direct confrontation."
Niko nodded, her mind racing. "I can use my telekinesis to move objects out of the way or even disarm traps if Todoroki-kun sets them. But if Dark Shadow comes at us... we'll need to keep our distance. I can't lift something that powerful with my quirk."
Midoriya smiled. "Good thinking. Let's try to find the weapon quickly before they have time to set up too many defenses. I'll scout ahead and figure out their positions."
Niko and Midoriya moved cautiously through the building, their footsteps barely audible as they crept through the dimly lit hallways. Sure enough, large sheets of ice blocked several corridors, forcing them to take longer, more winding paths toward the center where the weapon was being held.
Midoriya was constantly analyzing their surroundings, muttering strategies to himself as they went. Niko, meanwhile, kept her senses sharp, her telekinesis at the ready in case they ran into any obstacles—or worse, the villains.
Suddenly, a sharp sound echoed from above. Niko barely had time to react before a massive chunk of ceiling came crashing down in front of them. Instinctively, she raised her hand, focusing her quirk to stop the debris mid-air.
"Ice!" she hissed through clenched teeth, holding the large frozen piece suspended with her telekinesis. Todoroki had clearly anticipated their path and set up a trap.
"Nice save!" Midoriya said, quickly ducking under the floating ice. Niko pushed the ice to the side, clearing their path forward, but her energy was starting to drain from the heavy lifting.
They reached a large, open room where the mock weapon was placed at the far end, glowing with an ominous red light. But before they could make a move, a dark figure loomed in the corner.
"Tokoyami-kun..." Niko breathed, her eyes widening.
Dark Shadow stretched out, its shadowy form expanding in the low light, snarling with an almost feral intensity. Tokoyami stood calmly behind it, his arms crossed as he watched them approach. "You've come far, but this is as close as you'll get."
Midoriya clenched his fists, stepping forward. "We need to stay in the light! If Dark Shadow gets too close, we won't be able to stop it."
"I'll keep him at bay," Niko said quickly. She lifted several nearby pieces of rubble, using her telekinesis to create a floating barrier between them and Dark Shadow.
But Tokoyami smirked. "You think a few rocks will stop us? Dark Shadow, advance!"
The shadow creature surged forward, crashing into Niko's telekinetic barrier with terrifying force. Niko gritted her teeth, struggling to hold her focus as Dark Shadow hammered against her defenses.
"Midoriya, go! I'll hold them off!" Niko shouted, her energy starting to falter.
Midoriya hesitated for a split second, but then nodded. "Be careful, Niko!"
He dashed past her, aiming for the weapon, but just as he reached it, an icy wall shot up from the ground, blocking his path.
Todoroki appeared on the other side of the room, his cold expression betraying no emotion as he manipulated the ice with precision. "Did you really think it would be that easy?"
Niko's heart raced. They were being cornered, with Dark Shadow on one side and Todoroki's ice on the other. She had to think fast. With a surge of determination, she shifted her focus, pulling at the ice that blocked Midoriya's path with her telekinesis.
"I can't hold both forever," she muttered, feeling the strain on her body. But she had to. For the team.
