The air at the USJ was thick with tension. The simulation facility, designed for training, had become a battleground. Villains roamed the various zones, each one more dangerous than the last, and the students of Class 1-A were scattered across the chaos.

Niko crouched behind a crumbling building, catching her breath. Her quirk had drained a significant amount of energy after using it to hold back debris and protect her classmates, but there was no time to rest. Kirishima, Kaminari, and Asui were beside her, each trying to formulate a plan as the sounds of battle echoed around them.

"We need to regroup with the others," Kirishima said, glancing towards the distant shipwreck zone. "But with villains everywhere, it's gonna be tough."

Niko nodded, brushing dirt off the cloak of her hero costume. "If we're going to make it, we need to move carefully. I can use my telekinesis to create barriers, but I won't be able to do it for long."

Kaminari, sparking with nervous energy, chimed in. "I can zap them from a distance, but if I go too hard, you know what happens..." He trailed off, clearly not keen on the idea of short-circuiting his brain in the middle of a villain attack.

Asui looked around with her wide eyes, assessing the situation. "We'll need a distraction. I can move quickly with my tongue and swim if we need to, but we can't just charge in without a plan."

Niko's mind raced. They had to be smart about this. She glanced around, trying to find any opening in the chaos when—

BOOM.

A deafening explosion rocked the facility. Flames shot up in the distance, and Niko's heart sank. That had to be Bakugo, likely blasting through enemies with no regard for subtlety. But the explosion had drawn the villains' attention, and for now, it gave them a small window to move.

"Now's our chance," Niko whispered urgently. "Let's go."

They darted through the wreckage, moving swiftly but carefully. Niko used her telekinesis to lift broken rubble out of their path while Kaminari kept his eyes peeled for any sudden threats. The group made their way through the ruins, growing closer to the shipwreck zone where they hoped the rest of their classmates had gathered.

Meanwhile, Tokoyami, Midoriya, and Uraraka were still navigating the perilous waters of the shipwreck zone. Midoriya was coming up with plans on the fly, trying to figure out how to deal with the villains who had cornered them.

Tokoyami kept Dark Shadow close, his eyes scanning the horizon for danger. "We can't stay here forever. Sooner or later, they'll find us."

Midoriya nodded, his mind racing. "We need to take them out quickly, then move to regroup with the others. Uraraka, can you float us over to the next building?"

Uraraka glanced down at the water below and gave a determined nod. "I can try. Just hold on tight."

Before they could put the plan into action, however, a chilling voice echoed across the zone.

"Well, well, well... what do we have here?"

A villain stepped out from the shadows, his twisted grin sending a wave of unease through the students. He wasn't alone. Several other thugs emerged behind him, each one looking ready for a fight.

Midoriya's muscles tensed as he prepared to activate One for All. Uraraka hovered just above the ground, her hands glowing with the power to make anything weightless. Tokoyami stepped forward, summoning Dark Shadow to loom menacingly in front of him.

"This ends now," Tokoyami muttered, his eyes dark and focused.

The battle erupted in an instant. The villain lunged forward, but Midoriya was ready. With a well-timed punch, enhanced by One for All, he knocked the first attacker back. Uraraka followed up by sending debris flying towards the other thugs, forcing them to dodge.

But the real show was Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. With a powerful surge of his quirk, Tokoyami unleashed Dark Shadow, its form growing larger and more aggressive under the cloudy skies. The villains hesitated, clearly intimidated by the monstrous figure before them.

Dark Shadow surged forward, knocking back one villain after another, but as it grew more powerful, Tokoyami struggled to maintain control. The shadowy creature was always unpredictable, and the chaos of battle only seemed to make it more difficult to manage.

"Niko-chan..."

The thought of her flashed through his mind, distracting him for a split second, and that's all it took. Dark Shadow, sensing his brief loss of focus, lashed out with more force than intended, sending a nearby structure crumbling to the ground.

"Tokoyami, focus!" Midoriya shouted, but it was too late. The villains seized the opportunity, pressing their advantage.

---

Back with Niko's group, they were nearly at the shipwreck zone when a sudden tremor shook the ground. The building in front of them crumbled, blocking their path. Niko gasped, stepping back in shock as debris rained down.

"What the hell?" Kaminari shouted, throwing up his hands to shield his face. "What just happened?"

Niko's eyes narrowed. She could feel it—a surge of energy that wasn't coming from a villain. It was Tokoyami.

"Dark Shadow's out of control," she whispered, her heart pounding. Without a second thought, she sprinted towards the shipwreck zone, pushing herself faster than ever. She had to get there. She had to help him.

Kirishima called after her, "Sakura-chan, wait!" but there was no stopping her now.

She reached the edge of the zone just in time to see Tokoyami struggling to regain control of Dark Shadow. Midoriya and Uraraka were trying to help, but they were being pushed back by the villains, overwhelmed by the sheer power of Tokoyami's quirk.

Niko didn't think—she acted. With a deep breath, she activated her telekinesis, focusing on Dark Shadow. She could feel the raw energy, the chaotic force, and she pushed against it, trying to restrain the creature without hurting Tokoyami in the process.

"Niko-chan!" Tokoyami shouted, his voice strained.

"I've got you," she muttered, her powers straining under the force of Dark Shadow's strength. "You need to get control. I can't hold it for long."

Tokoyami's eyes locked with hers, a flicker of desperation in his gaze. For a brief moment, the world around them seemed to fade, and it was just the two of them—fighting together, side by side.

With one final push, Tokoyami regained control, pulling Dark Shadow back just as Niko's telekinesis faltered. The creature shrank back to its normal size, and the chaos subsided.

Panting, Niko staggered forward, catching herself on a nearby wall. Tokoyami approached her slowly, his face a mix of exhaustion and gratitude.

"You..." he began, his voice quieter than usual. "Thank you."

Niko met his gaze, her heart still racing from the adrenaline. "We're a team, remember?"

For a split second, the tension between them felt different, almost charged with something unspoken. But before either of them could say anything, Midoriya's voice broke the moment.

"We've still got villains to deal with!" he shouted, readying himself for the next wave.

Niko and Tokoyami nodded, pushing aside the awkward tension as they prepared for the next battle.
