The forest was eerily silent after the chaotic attack. Niko sat quietly in her tent, leaning against Tokoyami, still shaken by the events. Tokoyami's hand gently rubbed her back, offering silent comfort. The reality of everything felt overwhelming—learning about her family, Dabi's strange behavior, and the attack.

Suddenly, a soft rustling from outside the tent broke the stillness. Tokoyami tensed, his sharp eyes darting toward the entrance. Before they could react, the tent's flap slowly opened, revealing none other than Dabi.

Tokoyami immediately stood, moving protectively in front of Niko, Dark Shadow at the ready. But Dabi raised a hand, his usually cold expression surprisingly calm.

“Relax, bird boy. I'm not here to fight,” Dabi said, his voice low, almost tired. His piercing blue eyes were focused solely on Niko.

“Why are you here?” Niko asked, her voice a mixture of fear and curiosity.

Dabi stepped further inside, glancing briefly at Tokoyami before speaking. “I needed to see you,” he admitted, surprising both Niko and Tokoyami. He crouched down to be at eye level with her, his face softening just slightly, revealing a hint of the turmoil underneath.

“You’re... my sister. I wasn’t expecting to feel anything, but... it’s different with you.” His words were awkward, as though he was unused to expressing any form of affection. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from her face and gently cupping her cheek and pressing a soft kiss on her forehead. The gesture was oddly gentle, something that made Tokoyami watch with sharp, protective eyes.

Niko felt a strange mix of emotions—confusion, fear, but also a strange pull toward Dabi. There was something about him, something that connected them on a deeper level. "Why... why do you care now?" she whispered.

Dabi didn’t respond immediately. His eyes hardened, then softened again as he gazed at her. "Because you're not like the others."  he said quietly, his voice softer than she'd ever heard. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with this feeling, but I won’t hurt you.”

Suddenly, a voice broke through the tension. “What the hell is going on here?” Shoto stood at the entrance of the tent, his face a mixture of shock and anger. He’d been following the strange presence and had caught sight of Dabi sneaking into the camp.

“Dabi...” Shoto’s eyes narrowed, recognizing the villain immediately. But what shocked him more was the scene in front of him—Dabi, gently speaking with Niko, his hand resting lightly on her shoulder.

“What are you doing with her?” Shoto demanded, his fists clenching. His emotions were mixed—confusion, anger, and a faint sense of dread at what this could mean.

Dabi stood up slowly, his expression shifting back to the colder demeanor he was known for. “None of your business, Shoto.”

Dabi shot a glance at Niko and gave a soft smile and gave a small wave before stepping back toward the exit. “We’ll talk again, lil sis. Just remember... you’re not alone.” With that, he vanished into the night, leaving both Niko and Shoto in stunned silence.

Shoto’s eyes widened slightly, realizing the weight of what was happening. He looked at Niko, then back at Dabi, the pieces slowly falling into place. “You’re... related?”

Tokoyami, who had remained quiet the entire time, finally spoke. “You’re safe now,” he said softly, wrapping his arms around Niko protectively. But she could still feel the weight of everything that had just happened.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Shoto asked, his voice strained as he processed the information.

"I didn't know," Niko admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I thought I was just a nobody, and then... everything changed so fast."

Shoto sighed, his expression softening. "I don't want you to think you're alone in this. I may not know you well, but I'm here for you," he said, his gaze serious.

Niko nodded, grateful for his support, but the lingering tension from Dabi's visit weighed heavily on her heart.

As the night continued, Tokoyami's grip on her tightened. "We'll face whatever comes next together," he assured her, and Niko found solace in his words, hoping that the bond they shared would be enough to weather the storms ahead.

The night was far from over.
