after midnight-chappell roan 'kinda wanna kiss your girlfriend if you don't mind'
the past 2 hours zaria had spent on the phone with jemma, pretty much just ranting about anything and everything that came to mind.
"but what are you wearing?" jemma asked, referring to rebecca's birthday party later that night. the other black haired girl stopped to think about it for a second. "uh, i don't know, jeans probably"
"wow, you're really doing the bare minimum" jemma rose her brows through the screen. "minimalist" zaria corrected.
"that's literally the same thing" jemma said, placing her phone in front of herself, starting to go through her makeup bag. "no it's not"
"literally how?" zaria had to fight the urge not to burst into laughter when jemma's phone started glitching, making her voice sound stupid.
"being a minimalist sounds much better than doing the bare minimum"
"that doesn't mean you don't need to try" jemma argued, but zaria was certainly not going to let it slide. "and what about you? i bet you're wearing jeans as well"
"yeah, but i won't look poor" zaria gasped, holding a hand over her heart. gagged. "rude!"
"are you walking?" jemma continued with a smile on her face as if she didn't just say her best friend looked poor. "yeah, it's not like my mom will drive me there"
"i'm walking with zia anyway, it's only like a mile"
almost as if it was a cue zia burst into the room, trying to get zaria to hurry up so they wouldn't be late.
if there was one thing about zaria, it was that if it wasn't for zia, she'd be late to everything (or not present at all)
"i gotta go" she said, almost tripping down out the door and hanging up before jemma got the chance to say anything.
