'he wants ya, she wants ya, like everyone else in your life'

zaria hated those days where she felt like she was on the verge of tears without a reason, but today was one of those. ever since she woke up the world had been against her.

someone had probably been praying on her downfall or something. if so, today was their lucky day.

she hadn't bothered to go downstairs and make breakfast, knowing herself well enought to know she'd start bawling if someone criticized her. instead she just went back to bed after getting ready.

the one light purple wall in her room sticking out amongst the three other white ones, giving her some sense comfort. too bad she had to leave in it 10 minutes.

all her thoughts got wiped away as the intro of patience by take that started filling her ears. the room felt a little less empty after hearing the lyrics that said exactly what she wasn't able to say herself.

she walked into the classroom in third period, scanning it for a seat and at her waved the most drop dead gorgeous girl zaria had ever laid eyes on. giovanna clark.

she had everyone wrapped around her finger, and they were basically standing in line for rejection.

her dark defined curls that fell a little below her shoulders and the hazel eyes that almost looked gray from a distance made her understand she couldn't even blame them.

her arms wrapped around her neck once zaria finally reached the desk she was sitting.

"how are you?" she asked into her shoulder, but the one thing zaria was focused on was the scent of her perfume. she smelled of vanilla and soft flora. "i'm good"

it felt strange being able to call gigi her bestfriend. as long as having all the guys wanting a chance, the girls wanted the exact same, but instead of a relationship, they wanted her as a friend.

gigi was her first 'own' friend. until 4th grade zaria usually hung onto zia, going wherever she went, calling any friend of hers her friend as well.

but when gigi started in the middle of 4th grade, she took an interest in zaria and set herself a goal to become her friend. it took a while to get through her hard shell, but once she did there was not one bone in her body regretting her choice.

ther conversation flowed easily, talking about whatever had happened since the last time they spoke. "wait, there's miriam" gigi cut herself off, seeing a familiar figure walk in the door. "mira!" she waved again, catching the brown haired girls attention. her smile brightening the room as she walked over to them.

"hi!" she placed her books on the desk in front of gigi's, joining in on their conversation as well.

out of the 3 people zaria hung around, miriam was the one she was most alike. they were both introverted, preferred to stay home instead of going out, they shared the same music taste and both loved reading. she often stayed with miriam when jemma or gigi went to talk to their other friends, mostly because miriam also didn't have a lot of other friends.

"i hope we didn't have any homework" zaria scoffed, feeling relived when the others told her they didn't.

luckily there was only two more lessons before she could go home.
