The day goes by and there's not been a minute Jungkook did not think about you. each hour he would pass by the room just to hear you say something but there's nothing but silence from the other side of the door. it scares him, so he presses his ear on the door so he can hear something and he does, he hears you speak to your bump once in a while,

it's incoherent but at least he hears something. Jungkook has a past, that he likes to hide. not to hide it from people but to hide it from himself so he can make them disappear. he hates the flashbacks that come to his eyes. The past terrifies him, and seeing his mother's face fills him with rage.

His older brothers' faces sometimes bring a smile, but reality hits hard when he remembers how they all became bad influences as they grew older. As for his girlfriend, she only makes him feel sorry for himself. To this day, he still doesn't understand why he ever chose her. he doesn't get what he saw in her when today, he despises her to her grave.

every human he's had in his life left an imprint, whether good or bad. trauma begins in childhood and it shows today, that the man he's become is all due to his traumatic events and experiences he's had growing up.

As a mature adult, he's supposed to be capable of making his own decisions, but he loses that ability whenever his past resurfaces and takes over his mind. In those moments, his decision-making spirals out of control. like today, he crumbled and was left in a state of turmoil. but Jungkook is fascinating, he's able to read people so well, especially you.

he'd allowed himself to notice certain aspects of you, the way you sigh can tell many things to him. whether you're angry, sad, tired or just relieved. And now each time you heave a sigh, he hears nothing but exasperation and desperation. He tries to talk to you, but you're not interested in listening.

If it's not to explain himself, then you don't want him to say anything at all. and this cycle goes on for the whole day and it leaves Jungkook feeling his anger grow. You haven't eaten, and it's starting to worry him. He doesn't know what you're doing inside the room, and there's no way for him to see you-not even through the small peephole in the door.

He returns to the couch with a heavy sigh and leans his head against the backrest, his eyes closed and mind-running thoughts. he's well aware that you're capable of leaving this place to get back to yours and that's not something he wants to wake up to.

Bam climbs up the couch as he reaches out to his appa by licking his arm, Jungkook turns his head to see the poor dog looking at him with puppy eyes.

'even the dog is missing you.' he thinks to himself and caresses his fur. the little dog looks so sad and it's unbelievable how it shows in his face, his eyes, his droopy ears, quietness and lack of movement.

The pup may have spent a year with the man who's petting him now, the one who's fed him put him to bed, and played with him-and yet, there's never been a day he's felt so down. Not even when Jungkook came home late or left for overseas meetings. But then you arrived. In just a few months, this furry little guy has spent all his days and hours with you, and now...

he's lost, he misses your touch and the sweet little conversations you have with him although the animal can't speak a word. "bam-ah.." Jungkook tries to talk but the pup only whines, making the man sadder.

He suddenly snapped his head around when he saw a woman enter through the backdoor, momentarily forgetting that Maya and the rest of the staff usually came by to prepare the house.

the old woman bows and walks to the kitchen, Jungkook stops her before she does. "May..." he calls her like he always does. she turns to him and gives him one of her soft smiles, the one that makes her sagging cheeks rise. she's pretty, wears glasses, her skin pink as if it's winter and her voice, sweet like honey. . "yes?"
